There's a lot of excuses being made in this thread lol! You guys should just take the L and keep it moving. You know why people still sellout shows to see Jay? This dude has songs that left a mark on hiphop, same with NAS. All the songs that we consider bad by them, are pretty much gone and forgotten. I am pretty sure Jay will never perform Sunshine and NAS will never perform you owe me again, yet these younger cats are making money, but they're making songs that would look silly for them to perform when they get older. Can't believe someone in this thread said no older people go to shows featuring old school rappers! Yeah, ok tell that to these older cats who went to see Naughty, Slick Rick, and Doug. Only in hip hop is being old considered a bad thing. The Rolling Stones and all these other old rock groups can tour off their old albums and the fans aren't telling them to stop making music. Hip Hop can be short sighted at times smh.

most of the older Rock groups dont make new music and try to compete with other bands.

This the case with anything. You will be that age too. And quicker than you think. Hatin always comes back on you. If you dont hate on nobody,That takes a lot of negative energy out of your life. Far as rappers, older rappers are accepted more cause the same people who were 20 in 2003 are 30 now. The fans are aging too. right along. Youll find 30 year olds still do a lot of the same things 20 year olds do to have fun. I know 60 year olds that aint too different than young adults.
