Just finished....

It's a standing ovation for Shane

The punisher was GOAT and Shane played the role sooooo well...

The season was epic in many ways...The actor who plays Fisk...wow...still reminds me of Daddy Warbucks...he should have played that role in the latest Annie movie...

Season is 10/10 for me.

Yeah, this shit was dope as expected. In that diner scene with Punisher and Karen, he reminded me a lot of Tom Hardy. The mannerisms, voice, etc.

I liked that everytime I thought he was going to go soft he turned up the violence that much more!

Season was crack! Jon Berenthal should be nominated for a Emmy for best supporting actor as The Punisher....don't know if he'll win because Courtney B. Vance as Johnny Cochran might have that on lock, but Berenthal should be a really close 2nd.

Chick that played Elektra - Elodie Yung - is a stunner. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of her (maybe in this series) And Charlie Cox is a pretty solid actor. He's going to be the next big thing in 2-3 years, watch.

This show however - pending what happens with GoT S6 - definitely deserves serious accolades and Emmy consideration. Can't wait till S3 and the Kingpin's return to fuck shit up.

This.. Exactly this

This season was good, I found myself being more intrigued with the Punisher than Daredevil himself.

I like dark and gritty antihero type characters like him though so this played right into what I find intriguing.

The brutality the Punisher exhibited in that prison scene where he got locked in the cell block all alone with all the prisoners fully showcased the accomplished skill set and grittiness of his character.

I also like the way the writers showcased the Punisher and Daredevils mutual respect for one another despite their differing philosophies in dealing with criminals; I'm looking forward to Punisher's solo show.

Only grip I had and it's a small one is that I would have liked to have see more of Wilson Fisk this season.

Nah Fisk was in just enough to set the table for his Born Again storyline where it looks like s3 is going with Daredevil. The Hand will probably be back whenever S3 happens or even during The Defenders.

I can see the Hand playing a large role in the Defenders. Nothing better for a group of superheroes to go against than hundreds of disposable ninjas.

who are the defenders?

The Defenders were a group started by Doc Strange that included Hulk and The Sub-Mariner. Hero's for Hire is what this new show should be called since it's not going to include any of those characters from The Defenders team.

Hero's for Hire was just that a team of hero's that took jobs to help people out. Luke Cage and Iron Fist was the original members of that team.

Silver Surfer was a Defender as well but there have been different teams called it hence why DD, JJ, Ironfist, and Luke Cage are being called that. They are the street team basically.

still should of been H4H

I suppose but DareDevil isn't really for hire so I assume that's why they decided against it since they'll likely make him the figurehead of this team up.

Wow. Just binge watched Season 2.

No doubt. The Punisher owned this season because Jon Bernthal might be the best portrayal of Punisher or any superhero I've seen on TV or movie. It's definitely up there. There are so many scenes where he commands and steals the scene. The prison scene is easily the stand out scene of the entire season. Definitely stronger than the Season 1. The pacing and plot was very strong and cohesive for the most part. It was great how they showed the similarities and difference between Punisher and Daredevil (and between Electra and Daredevil) as that was the major theme of this season. Season 1 had a better villain tho. Part of this season felt like the Wire. The shows are well directed and the tone is consistent. Only little gripe is some of the Daredevil's fight scenes could be tighter and got repetitive.

Punisher could work as its own show but I think what made it really work with this season was the difference between Daredevil and his style. Like how Hulk works as part of the Avengers but not on its own. I feel that way with Punisher, probably best in doses.

Can anyone explain who was Darkseid? I got lost there.
