I might be over analyzing the name but is god's son is a shout out to Rakim or is I'm just tripping? Because Rakim is known as the god MC, Nas style is from Rakim. Nas was the student & Rakim was the teacher.

He's on his 4th decade. The 2010s, or whatever we're calling it. He also started in the very beginning of the 90s with a memorable verse on Live at the Barbecue. You can give Jay the 80s, but nobody remembered him until the Hawaiian Sophie diss and he didn't really blow until album 2.
