Shit is definite classic. But that can't be heard in the type of music that plays nowadays. Ends up being a "fuck NY" thing...which is silly as hell.

Why would it be that??

LOL, bruh it always ends like that no matter what. Shrugs. I knock all regions in the whip so no fucks given.

Right, I'm from the South and got love for all regions, NY and Nas included... But LIG...

Nas dont even think about Nas as much as Nas fans on the internet. And of course cause he's a man livin his life. Like 99% of people, Nas aint on their mind. Not hatin but its obvious.Funny sh!t when you think about it but no surprise.

If it ain't tell me what cd is in 2012

Apollo Brown & O.C. - Trophies

Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music

Oddisee - People Hear What They See

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City

Ab-Soul - Control System

Big K.R.I.T. - Live From the Underground

KRIT's album was such a let down compared to the mixtapes he put out this year, I don't understand how it was a classic

When did I say it was classic? I just dropped 6 albums that came out this year that are better than the Nas album. It's a solid addition to his catalog but it's not "Illmatic" or "Stillmatic" or even "It Was Written"

but it's classic

shit aint no god damn classic

First off The Don is one of the worst singles nas ever released. That beat to that track is weak as fuck and the hook is almost painful. Reach Out is another weak joint. How many times has that sample been used? shitty hook too. Then you got the atrocious Summer on Smash which is almost on Braveheart Party level. That's already 3 weak tracks that prevents the albums from being a 5/5 classic.

A more accurate rating would be about 4/5. Life is Good is one of his better albums.. it's slightly better than Untitled, and way better than Hip hop is dead and Streets disciple. But LIG aint as strong as Stillmatic or even the Lost Tapes. It's just a good album, not strong enough to be labelled a classic.

i'll give you summer on smash but no sign on the don and reach out. let time determine whether the album reaches classic status.

Alot you you don't have a quantified point of reference to assess what a 'classic' album is or not. You just don't.

For many of you, what you think is lame now, will be hot in a few years. You palate will change as your musical range broadens along side your life experiences.

That man (NAS) has a habit of being humble when he should be arrogant about his accomplishments. Go ahead and own that shit! No one's fuqin with your catalogue or your body of work. It is what it is.

Lost Tapes, Illmatic, Stillmatic, God's Son, Life Is Good...undeniably classic.

Classics develop over time, this shouldn't even be a discussion yet.

Sidebar: I felt GKMC and R.A.P. music were better albums.

solid album, no classic to me.....Damn, I cant be the only one that thought Summer on Smash was cool.....

Never thought it was that bad to begin with it's just a generic single that's about it.

Nas - the overrated MC.

"do you listen to you music or you just skim through it"

FOH!!!

If I didn't listen to it, I wouldn't even speak on it. I could probably quote any of the lyrics of his decent joints verbatim. Nas just doesn't deliver anymore.

And when he does interviews, it's dumb shit.

@CJ

Those 6 are superior albums to "Life is Good" so if it's a classic what does that make them?

Y'all too stanish around here.
