I can't call LIG a classic with a song like Summer On Smash on it. I think there was another song that wasn't very good...did Nas have a song with MJB on LIG or am I think of GKMC?

you allowed one slip-up on a masterpiece, even It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back had She Watch Channel Zero on it

Life is Good is not a classic album y'all niggas trippin. Nas has 2, maybe 3 classics. It Was Written > Illmatic> Stillmatic (Braveheart party really hurts this albums chances)

No one ever called LIG classic. It's 8.5/10. And Stillmatic may not be classic but it ain't just because Braveheart Party.

My nigga, the very first post after the opening post reads "LIG is a classic" in italics

And i'm sure theres a thread floatin somewhere on the Reason about LIG and some folks were callin it classic.

To me Braveheart Party is the one trash joint on Stillmatic. Might can make a case for that song with Amerie, but no where near that Braveheart shit. I much rather listen to "Zone Out" than that shit.

Song with Amerie is dope just like the rest of Stillmatic. Its weak point is subpar production on several joints. As great as the album is it might just not be a strong enough body of work altogether to be classic in my opinion. Illmatic, IWW and Lost Tapes are classic projects.

Nas is the greatest rapper ever if it wasen't for him 80% of theese rappers today would not be here. He influenced everybody. He is the best. He is the rolemodel of 80% rappers. He wrote the bible when he was a kid. Shit niggas you all know that Nas lyrics belongs to the bible.

So fcking good and now he drops a next album

THIS GONNA BE BANANAS!!!!!! IM TELLIN YA

That song wasn't on my copy of the album. In fact, I think I heard that song maybe once back in '02 streaming off the internet. Stillmatic is classic status for me.

I cant wait to see what direction Nas takes on his next LP

LIG was a incredible album, The best thing about Nas is that he keeps it moving from one release. Yet people still compare everything to ILLmatic, which is stupid if you ask me, The only time when Nas kept his LP's creatively similar was with I Am and Nastradamus, and thats only because they were released in the same year.

i agree with @eastbay510 hopefully he will ditch the attempt at a radio song or club song, in favor of a whole album which can work around not having one.

Hopefully no "summer on smash" type songs on this next album.

Hope it's a Jay or Kendrick feature on it as well..

if you want to hear a jay or Kendrick verse then maybe you need to buy jay or Kendrick album..

Nas is one of the greats, he don't need any assistance..

Hopefully it's a good album like Stillmatic was don't think it will be a classic like Illmatic though. But at best may make an album good like Stillmatic last Nas album i thought was good

He needs to get his production sorted out desperatley though and try to make his flow and content entertaining while still having depth imo

I thought the production on the album falls in line with the production on all of his albums til recently. Production that wont be turning any heads. I will say the beat on "My Country" is fuckin terrible.

Most of the production wasn't bad but 4 or 5 of those beats were awful.
