Nas Lost (Ghostwriters)

Why this wasnt put on blast in 07 makes it all suspect. Its like after this life is good release she sees the great reception the hip hop community is giving it, and says like damn the people do think this nigga is the best. I gotta do something about this shit. We dont believe you, you need more people.

Why in the fuck would Jay make an album like Nas' to begin with? Why do people keep wanting rappers to rap like other rappers?

i find it funny that i didnt even post my own thoughts about the article and some of yall are catching feelings towards me just for posting it, got dam lames

The whole concept behind ghostwriters is nonsense anyway. Its an easy thing to throw on someone.

For instance I can say Bushwick Bill wrote for Scarface, how do you prove me wrong?

Simple logic proves me wrong. Scarface has done way more for himself than Bushwick Bill ever has for himself so it doesn't make any sense for you to believe that Bill wrote Face verses.

Everybody seems to revel in the theory that some dope low level MC is being held back and writing all these hot bars for a higher caliber cats and that gives the low level guy some credibility and diminishes credibility of the higher level guy. If you have a personal beef with the higher level guy (which the "RappersIKnow" guy probably does from reading the blog) you will believe it...even without proof.

Bottomline is if someone ghostwrote for somebody you wouldn't be able to prove it or disprove it. Royce says he wrote for Dr Dre...we know Dre doesn't write rhymes so that's not an issue or surprise, but to say Stic.Man, Jay Electronica/Jay-Z wrote bars for Nas is asinine.

If you hate a dude then you will believe it and will spread the shit around, gossiping about it. There are 3 maybe 4 people every hip-hop fan should know for certain doesn't write their own rhymes: Diddy, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E (R.I.P.) and Birdman. If you aren't one of those four I don't believe ghostwriting gossip.

My whole thing with ghostwriters is this, especially now when any and everything can be found out over the internet damn near, if the ghost writer is that damn hot how come they rarely if ever blow up on their own? I mean if they apparently have the ability to write with such universal appeal for other rappers, how come it never translates to their own work? That's my issue w/ a nigga like Skillz. All the bragging about how you wrote hit songs for other rappers, but can't write a hit for your damn self? Shit as much as niggas talk shit about Rick Ross he's one of the few niggas who ghost wrote for other rappers and managed to translate that into his own career.

And just say the names of the rappers you wrote for. The niggas who claim they got 100 ghost written hits under their belt always come out talking "Oh niggas know I wrote for their favorite MC, but I ain't going to say any names but they know who they are"...no motherfucker we don't...

u niggas gon believe a bitch who was nothing but a journalist/groupie that rode around bk wit biggie in 92 suckin his dick while listening to him speak about how tight him and pac was........

its clear as day the bitch has an agenda, that whole twitter delivery was fugazi, bitch is a bk jigga/biggie fanatic that has been hearing the talk of how nas crushed the competition with this latest LP..... she doesn't like what she is hearing so she throws shade on nas LoL.

for the record I fucks with jigga biggie and nas, but when hoes do shit like this it has to be put on the spot for what it is, SHADE.....

so Stic and Jay Elec stated exactly what they did for Untitled. and whats described is not ghostwriting rhymes.

thread is about an inaccurate tweet.

on to the next rumor...

NaS don't need no "Ghostwriters". I got love for Dream but she is exazzergated a little. Has NaS used "Co-Writers", sure, a lot of rappers bounce ideas off each other. Dead Prez did work on production and some of the songs they did with NaS ended up on the "Nigger Mixtape". Also if an artist produces a song, they get writing credit, doesn't mean they wrote lyrics. NaS is a ghostwriter himself. He's written for Bravehearts, Foxy and Will Smith. People use the term "Ghostwriter" too losely. There are a lot of times again people bounce ideas off each other.

NaS been in the game how long? He don't need anyone writing his lyrics. Everyone knows, NaS, Jay and Biggie are ghostwriters. Matter of fact, Biggie is the ONLY RAPPER to have audio evidence of his Ghostwriting which he did not get writing credit for the songs he ghostwrote, he gave it to Lil Kim, Cease and his team. Dream is very close to Jay as she was for Biggie. The Tweet from Dream felt defensive cause the fan was questioning if Jay can make a consious type of record and she was trying to defend Jay by trying to downplay NaS writing. It was a reach of Epic proportions.

Mad feelings in here these groupies deal wit emotions like bitches

Never thought nasir would need a ghostwriter

Being that its a fact that u have typed the word nas more than anyone in here combined (including ktulu) with your 15 S/N's it isn't fair at all that u seem to always get away with calling yourself out on the groupie festivities u partake in during every nas thread.....

is that fair ?

none of us bashed you..... one of my post i said it's a valid arguement..... My post are directed to the usual fuck NaS coalition that post bullshit instead of facts... your not one of them ..... cool thread tho .... it had to be done because sooner or later the lames are gonna embarass themselves by believing this chick.

These lames were quick to believe Dream Hampton who doesn't even rap and never been in the studio with NaS..... They didn't even wait to see if Emcees that have been in the studio with NaS talk on the issue. They were ready to state whatever this chick is saying is true. Don't you think thats odd?

Im talking about these qoutes idk yall getting sour for im not known to be no nas hater i just saw something interested and posted it so many of yall getting heated over something yall half read smh

Biggie rapping Lil Kim and Lil Cease Verses

Exactly, and cosign the bolded. Ghostface was accused of having a ghostwriter as well back in 2007.

Perb was Perb, Ghost was Ghost. Perb is Raes man. He been in the studio a few times while were doing sh*t. He aint write shit. All Perb contributed was a couple of lines that you could put in the air. When we write, we all do that. Say this one right here or Put this one right here. We all catch lines with each other cause you in the studio. You got niggas around you that write. Even if he did write a verse, he could never make an album of mine. He couldnt make an album, you feel me? I made Supreme Clientele what it is. Those are my stories, based around whatever theyre based upon. Its me...
