Real recognise Real. Busta Common and bunch of others acknowledged this Nas is GOAT musically. Even Jay knows this in his heart but pride wont let him acknowledge. There really hasn't been any competition. The closest

Jay: influenced by Nas, enough catalogue but not as creative/substance; only commercial appeal/business acumen over Nas

Pac: enough catalogue, versatile but still not as lyrical as Nas

Rakim: influenced Nas but Nas took it to another level with the creativity, storytelling

Ghost: Better.more consistent catalogue than Nas but not as deep

BIG: not as lyrical and not enough in catalogue.Em: please shouldn't even be mentioned with the rest. Dope lyricist and opened doors for whiteboys and all; but really tho.Catalogue just doesnt hold wieght

I don't think it's far fetched to say so, if, taken in context. I think on face value in the areas of raw in your face lyricism, charisma, energy, and consistency Ghost is perhaps better. But I agree with gifted. Ghost isn't as deep, introspective and doesn't take as many chances musically. So, for me personally that bumps him down some notches. But for the qualities I mentioned Ghost is light years ahead.
