Them bushes Sigs you got got me dyin LOLOLOL!

Nas got a stellar career, this is olo album #10 and his sword is still as sharp as ever, I can actually see Nas dropping 10 more albums before he retires. I wonder if his Sun gonna be blessed with that flow that sounds like it's been submerged in the Fountain of youth.

LL, Too Short, E40 got some nice career/catalogs that fly under the radar too.

remember nas wrote illmatic when he was 15-16.. rick ross wrote hustlin when he was in his 30s..
no sir LOL

nas was 19 - 20 when he did illmatic and the verses that would end up on there

"i woke up early on my BORN DAY (birthday) im 20 its a blessing the essence of adolesence leaves my body now freshened"

Don't pay attention to that lil sweet bitch smh

Nas and Pac are my 1A and 1B for goats. Unfortunately Pac didn't have the opportunity to be 20 years deep in the game or this might be a different thread.

Read the OP before posting in my thread. I'm talking about best career from a musical perspective.

The versatility of Marvin Gaye's catalog is part of what made him great.

Not everybody has the same reading compression skills bruh.

They might think the word catalog means a magazine with shopping items in it.

Let's not sleep on Nas, it ain't too many rappers that have two classic albums with a 3rd classic dropping in 6 days.

smh, who the fuck believes ll cool j is even top 10 material?

Rappers, historians, critics, HipHop heads all have in their Top 20 lists.

It depends on your HipHop IQ.

Jay Z has longevity, one of the richest rappers, one of the highest selling rappers and easily one of the most skilled

and finally he is fucking beyonce

Jay is up there in almost every category when it comes to numbers

I would say jay z has the best career of any rapper

From a lyrical standpoint, NaS is ahead of Jay by miles. His career is not as bad as people make it out to be. For every Jay Z line a nigga spit. I can spit a NaS line that's much better.

NaS has Survived The Times and is still relevent. Niggas still can't understand that shit. NaS has enough fans to last hime a couple more years...... Real NaS fans care more about his music than his personal life

All these fly by night rappers wish they had a career like NaS.

I feel what you're saying, but I'm sure if Nas had accomplished as much as Jay has some Nas fans would say the same. I've stated before Jay & Nas are 1 & 2 in my book (switches with the mood I'm in), but if were looking at careers it would seem Jay has had the more successful one, but then again, it depends on your definition of success. I haven't listened to a Nas album more than twice since Stillmatic, but I'm still playing Illmatic & It Was Written so the other stuff doesn't really come into the equation when I speak about him. He has many plaques and his impact can't be denied. It's just sad cats like to down one rapper to big up the next.

As far as lyrics, they're subjective. What means something to you may not necessarily mean anything to the next man. I wouldn't say Nas is ahead of Jay by miles, but I can't knock you for saying it because that's how you feel. I think 2Pac was one of the nicest on the mic, but some cats feel his lyrics were too simple. I fucked with Pac because his shit really had meaning...to each his own.

With that said, Nas has definitely had one of the best careers to me...is it the best? I really can't say, but he is definitely in the argument.

Nas has always been one of my favorites

I was listening to Nastradamus (which is considered possibly his worst album) and he still had great content on there

the Street Dreams Remix is one of my favorites tracks

I just hate the way Cormega and AZ got played to the left by him

Cormega moreso than A.... Imagine The Firm with Mega in it... not to say Nature ain't nice but Mega is a fuckin poet.

And yea Nas spit some potent shit on that Street Dreams remix with Kellz. One of my top 10 Nas tracks probably.

When it comes to catalogues, very few can touch Nas.

When it comes to careers, I think LL, Will Smith, Ice Cube and Jay-Z had better careers.
