Any rapper that looks to be getting above local level isn't liked by the HATERS in his city.

I remember Three 6 started getting shitted on around the time of Spinners. Hell, even before then, it was always stories about them getting chased out of local venues by haters wanting to test them going back to the Mystic Stylez days.

Actually I been posting on every iteration of this website since 2002 and was a global mod for about 5 years of the IC's existence.

Billy Joel has his place when you want to bask in the corniness of songs like We Didn't Start The Fire and River of Dreams at the ball game but you can't be serious in putting him on the level as the guys who made September of My Years, Me Against the World and Illmatic.

I mean don't get me wrong I could listen to shit like Allentown and For The Longest Time with no problem when I visit my pops but the dude is just good for greatest hits albums and the occasional rap sample (shout out the 52nd St album). His music lacks the substance of the music of Sinatra, Pac and Nas. It's like comparing John Mayer to Jeff Buckley.

Billy Joel is just the poor man's Joe Cocker and the poor woman's Elton John. Unlike those guys he doesn't really have an album with any real merit. Even the one in your sig is filled with sappy melodramatic and manipulative songs made to reach soccer moms and golf course lounging mid life crisis living businessmen everywhere. I give him props for at least fucking bad model bitches thanks to his notoriety as opposed to fucking guys up the butt like Elton John does

I don't think his music lacks substance at all. Joel has versitallity in subject matter like Pac and a long body of work like Pac and Sinatra. Joel actually wrote his own music his best album IMO is Innocent man and the stranger is close to being his best those albums show his music isn't lacking any substance
