1st, The Matrix Sequels weren't better than the orignial but they weren't that bad that they didn't need to be made. If it was just 'The Matrix" it would of felt incomplete based on the ending. The Sequels only made the original even better. But here's my list:
Jurassic Park 2 and 3: I love the original but the sequels weren't needed. "Jurassic Park" was a stand alone movie and there was nothing else to be explored.
Terminator 3 & 4: After 1 & 2 nothing else needed to be said. Sure I wanted to see the future war with skynet but the story was done, they ruined the series with the last 2.
Alien 4: Now I know people hate on "Alien 3" but atleast the film was creative bringing it back to one alien who they had to fight with no weapons. Alien 4 with Ripley having sex with the alien was horrible.
Now those have been mentioned by others but here is the mother of all sequels that shouldn't of been made:
You knew something was up when even Keanu turned it down. How are going to name a movie "Speed" when it takes place on a criuse boat, SMH. I saw this in the theater and remember how upset I was after I watched it. Terrible.

House Party - 2nd one is aight but not as great as the first
