Mysonne: who gets further in the industry (4/19/17)

I don't know Dr Dre or any of these rappers. But I do know some of the top rappers kiss other men in the lips, wear leopard spandex, wear dresses, and blouses, hair extensions and other things associated with women. I'm not saying that Gay people want to take over the world. But they definitely want to be considered the norm. They definitely want to be apart of every aspect of popular culture. I don't think dislike gay people, but I do think Mysonne has a point. How can a outsider of the music industry say what an insider of the industry say isn't true.

1st bold - There's really nothing wrong with that man.

2nd bold - Because there's overwhelming evidence that it isn't. There's a method to the madness but there isn't a conspiracy to turn everybody gay and no you don't have to be gay to succeed.

I thought you was done? Black and most non whites are not considered the norm in this country. We're not treated the same. And we are a race, not a lifestyle. I see more Gays on television than Native American, Indians, Middle Eastern and Asians combined. So to say they are not a powerful group or they dont have people in power position is false. You can believe what you want, there enough evidence that there are more than a few gays in hip hop. You're just closing your eyes to the facts. Hip hop has definitely open up to the gay market. Artists are either down low gay or seeking gays as part of their fan base. I think the Gay movement isn't necessarily trying to turn people gay. But they want gay to not only be acceptable, but cool. And alot of new "cool " things in hip-hop are gay. And anything cool will be more successful than what is not cool. It's cool to rant. It's cool to be super emotional. It's cool to wear skinny tight jeans. All these thing are traditionally done by women or gay men. Now it's part of hip hop and popular culture. So if gay is the new black( a slogan they been pushing for at least 5 years, trying to link a our culture trials and successes with this lifestyle) and black equal cool, ( our culture have not only sold their products, but they want to darken their skin and enjoy the many creative ways of living) Gay is the new cool. And in a culture of blacks in black music where you are pushed to be successful, and what cool is successful. Then if gay is the new cool, (which it is) then it would make sense for rappers to act or be gay to be more successful. Mysonne was right. Think about it.

No one said you have to be gay man to be successful. The point Mysonne is making is that rappers who have talent and gay tendencies are becoming more successful. Some more than rappers with more skills. In the late 90s and early 2000s rappers who were thugs and gangsta were more successful than rappers who was more talented and who was conscious. Just like you have some thug niggas that are part of the industry in the 90s You have gay niggas that help run it now.

The "gay shit" we see lately isn't making rappers sell anything. Gay shit has just become more acceptable. But truthfully speaking, I don't think any of those dudes are really gay. It's just a trend of gender neutrality. Wasn't there an openly gay rapper a few years back? I remember seeing threads about him only because of the fact that he was an openly gay rapper. If he dropped any songs or albums, I can guarantee you they didn't sell shit.

You still have to have skills. A gay acting rapper with no skills not doing anything. But one with some skills will get more attention. And attention can equal money.

Now I'm done with this thread because there is no reason why this thread should be platinum and I'm not going to be apart of that stupidness.

There is no stupidness. I respect your opinion. However you need to face the facts homosexuality is all over the world. And despite what some may think some of them do have the power to make things happen. Also think to yourself is this something i want my children and future grandchildren to learn about from school and elsewhere. What i find stupid is that sexual preference is a choice. But for some odd reason homosexuality is being considered some sort of award or adds to the popularity of the people that swing that way.(Caitlyn Jenner for example). But to each his own. I think youll change your tune soon enough. Salute
