umma be honest, i didnt really hear anything from the snippets i would bump... like someone said, u gone have trouble sellin wit no fanbase (unless u got one), you betta hit the streets and the web and make that shit free bruh. i wouldnt dare break a 20 for that, no hate just honesty

I feel you. The thing with me not giving this away for free is for two reasons:

1) Passing this out as a mixtape for free makes it hard to keep up with numbers. It's also difficult to know whether the person liked what they heard or not.

2) By doing it this way, the numbers are counted and I get compensation. Plus, by people purchasing the music, I know that they were interested enough to do so.

This is a big risk, but I might as well quit and let all efforts be in vain if I didn't have the faith and confidence to take it. Going into this, I knew that everyone wasn't going to like it and even if they did, it wouldn't warrant a buy. Artists with the promotion and push have trouble selling music, so I know that it's not easy.

This just made it's way to iTunes, so I should have some numbers soon. The music has not been on cdbaby.com long either even though the album info has been registered since December '09. So I should know how well it's doing pretty soon. In the meantime, I'm pretty much pushing it by looking into ads on myspace and facebook and pushing "Oh Snap" and "At First Sight" as singles.
