Honestly I would believe that story if it was told by anyone but you.
Either way it does happen every day and if it did I feel for your niece. No little innocent child should have to be subjected to that.

Tell her to keep her head high, that she's beautiful, and to be on the safe side, tell her to not ride her bikes in any white neighborhoods.
