I just upgraded to windows 8.1 i'll try moving it I might need a wireless card. when I tried restarting it told me to try the wi-fi button the i.t. specialist told me the same thing some weeks ago only I don't know where the wi-fi button is on my laptop. when I turn the power off and remove the battery I get a signal again though. maybe something is interrupting the signal. I just had the router replaced a couple of months ago and switched to at&t service.
