no question. Most of the singles came from the first half of the album tho.

I'm not taking ANYTHING away from the songs i think we all would agree are great songs, im talking about the B side cuts... They just dont hold up sonically or lyrically compared to the notable tracks.

now the second half probably has more skits vs the 1st half, so not counting the skits, the second half of the album really brings down the momentum from the first half

I feel like The Chronic and 2001 had solid production, but the MCs and the overall rhymes were underwhelming. Maybe its a simple case of East Coast bias but New York MCs>>>

was having a convo with my brotha @i ro ny, and he kinda gave me some much needed perspective as far as the production standpoint, but i agree with you in the sense that the lyrical content aint nothing to write home about. I aint gon get into no east/west coast stuff tho lol

Crazy you never listened to 2001 before but I'm on the West so I'm biased. But like most albums it takes a few listen....maybe around 5 to get the actual way you feel about it. Also you got to come back to it after a few months and listen again.
