Well, for me, money wasn't the primary motivator.... so initially I wasnt concerned.. I put 4 hard years into creating the greatest portfolio of all time so
I just wanted to get into the field and start creating.

The paper slowly followed.

I'm actually quite disgusted with the payment scales in the US

currently watching this 60mn episode and its honestly downright disgusting....pretty much they should just tell the kids "don't be a liberal arts major, stick to science or math...now go out there and be somebody!"

or they should just tell the kids, "hey did you know that there is an entire generation of kids that can set up a website in a week, yet wouldn't know the first thing to do to start up a food bank...its cool though....in 8 yrs you'll have a Facebook page too!"

I think the problem is two things:

1. We (as a society) set kids up with false expectations in terms of the real world an how value the college degree is. In other words, there are a gang of young niggas who think college degree = being able to find a good job and be 'successful' (whatever that means) and that definitely isn't the case.

2. Because of that, we have a gang of niggas in college for the wrong reasons.

yeah college is just one big ass summer camp/cruise/day care...gotta blame the parents for that one

I refuse to believe a lot of these professions "require" a college degree. They just require core competencies and experience.

why set a kid back 4 yrs with school loans when he could've spent that 4 yrs REALLY getting hands on experience learning the ins and outs of an industry.....smh at just paying for a kid to mature

If their end goal is a good job and money, then I agree. The reality of how valuable a college degree is in 80% of fields these days is drastically overrated. That being said, I'm a big supporter of education. But not so much as a means to a financial gain.

Not sure but when I searched the internet they called it the "homeless report"

Children talked about the challenges and dangers of living in vehicles. Of all the homeless families in Central Florida, two-thirds are living on the streets, Pelley reported. Another shocking fact: Of all the families without shelter in this country, one-third are in Florida, Pelley told viewers
