How long did it take you to find a job in your degree field after graduating college? Also did anyone on here get their masters?

Truthfully, after your 2nd yr in school you need to try and find an internship in the field you want to work in...those contacts can speed up the process of finding a job post-grad...

i had an offer the semester before i graduated. i'm actually getting my masters now. i'm really thinking about becoming a professor, which will probably mean i'll have to get a phd, i'm in it for the long haul tho, so that's not a problem.

It took me a year and a few months at the most. When I graduated I felt like they didn't teach me too much and I was right. Ppl was like when ya'll graduate everyone is not gonna come knocking down doors just to find you just cause you got a degree, how true. But after that year and months I ran into the right ppl and I'm in the same field doing good.

I didn't graduate yet, but I have a couple of engineering jobs lined up. I'm going with the one that's going to pay for my Master's.

I have about 3 semesters left.I am also majoring in electrical engineering. What is advice you can give to get my foot into the door? Also, how long do you have until you graduate?

you have fucked up if you arent already engaged in your industry well BEFORE you graduate.. internships, networking, professional groups/societies all exist for a reason

also its not masters, its master degree.. you dont get a masters of business administration or masters of finance its a master of finance..

wrong! i got my B.S. in Business Administration and and my MBA in Marketing but I ended up working in education as a Teacher...I started substitute teaching and coachng at a high school my senior year of college and found out i liked working with kids more than working in corporate america....less pay but I'm helping kids make a better life for themselves...

Marketing can be a profitable prefession...but not much job security...i suggest getting a gig to pay the bills and starting your own internet marketing business...
