So the guy who worked for Trump, ran Trump's campaign, had an office in Trump Tower, and advised Trump in the White House, had nothing to do with Trump?

"Yep that's exactly what we're saying. Exactly how it is."

WH Says Trump Won’t Fire Mueller, As Bannon Pushes Him To Defund Probe

After news broke that three former members of President Donald Trump’s campaign have been indicted in a probe by special counsel Robert Mueller, questions about whether the President plans to fire the investigator have gained new traction, especially following reports that Trump was fuming about Monday’s news.

The White House maintains that Trump has “no intention” of firing Mueller, but the President’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon is reportedly whispering alternative methods for kneecapping the investigator in Trump’s ear, according to reports from CNN, The Daily Beast and Politico.

On Monday, Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Manafort’s business associate turned themselves in to federal authorities after the pair was charged with 12 counts related to money laundering and other alleged crimes.

Court documents also released Monday showed that Trump’s campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos lied to federal agents about his contacts with a professor whom he knew had substantial links to the Russian government. Another member of the Trump campaign encouraged Papadopoulos to travel to Russia to meet with officials “if it is feasible,” according to an exchange revealed in the court documents.

A source close to Bannon told CNN that the former Trump aide is pushing the White House to take down Mueller on multiple fronts.

Bannon wants Republicans to get Congress to cut funding to the special counsel, and he wants the White House to publicly debate Mueller’s mandate, slow the production of documents and go on a publican relations campaign against the probe, according to CNN. The Daily Beast and Politico reported similar information from sources close to Bannon. The Daily Beast reported that Bannon thinks these approaches will look better than Trump firing the person who is investigating Russian interference into the 2016 election and any potential collusion with the Trump campaign.

When asked whether Trump plans to fire Mueller, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Monday that Trump has “no intention or plan to make any changes in regards to the special counsel,” despite reports that Trump has asked for advice on how to get rid of Mueller.

A source familiar with the President told Politico that Trump has repeatedly said “‘I could do this but I’m not going to,’” referencing his ability to fire the special counsel.

George Papadopoulos is 30 years old ....he does not want to do 15 to 20 years in a Federal prison for some rich old men ,he probably was wearing a wire for the last few months.

Trump has got to be shitting bricks because Muellar has opened the investigation beyond just Russian collusion. Now, any and all crimes including money laundering are on the table.

Trump business's have been laundering Russian money for close to a decade if not more.

Trump already said his finances are a red line. You have to follow the money and if Muellar does, Trump will ask the Deputy Attorney General to fire Muellar which would create a shit storm of epic proportions.

Fox News Employees Vent Frustration Over Russia Coverage: ‘It’s an Embarrassment’

As the news about Robert Mueller‘s investigation continues to shake up the political and media worlds, some Fox News staffers are feeling embarrassed and annoyed with the network over its coverage for the latest developments.

CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy recently spoke with various Fox News personnel, and he asked them about the network’s editorial decisions for segments where they questioned Mueller’s credibility, and parroted the Trump administration’s reactions to the news about the special counsel on Russia. Several journalists said they were particularly upset with opinion hosts like Sean Hannity and newly-initiated Laura Ingraham, who regularly offer full-throated defenses for the Trump administration.

From CNN:

I’m watching now and screaming,” one Fox News personality said in a text message to CNN as the person watched their network’s coverage. “I want to quit.”

“It is another blow to journalists at Fox who come in every day wanting to cover the news in a fair and objective way,” one senior Fox News employee told CNN of their outlet’s coverage, adding that there were “many eye rolls” in the newsroom over how the news was covered.

The person said, “Fox feels like an extension of the Trump White House.

An unnamed Fox News personality told CNN that the organization’s copious pro-Trump coverage “does the viewer a huge disservice and further divides the country.” Another Fox employee mocked Hannity and Ingraham for “tripping over themselves saying [Mueller’s team has] found nothing thus far,” and he also said a recent Outnumbered panel discussion on Mueller “deserves all the scorn it can get.”

It’s an embarrassment…Frankly, there are shows on our network that are backing the President at all costs, and it’s that short term strategy that undermines the good work being done by others.”

The piece included the following statement from a Fox News spokesperson, who told CNN “the network covered the breaking news accurately and fairly across both news and opinion programming.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Fox’s straight news division has taken issue with the network for prioritizing their opinion-based coverage from various personalities.
