In the context of relationships, do you believe that two people with an extremely different value system can work? Say they were willing to compromise and fight for the relationship. Would it work in the long run? Do you believe that sometimes love is not enough? I've seen things like religion, or a lack there of, get between a relationship.

Very difficult as there is vast difference in their cultures, lifestyle etc., but not impossible. It needs lots of patience & sacrifice to continue the relationship.

no, love is NOT always enough, along with love there should be respect, understanding , trust and loyalty. if you lose respect or trust in some one you love gradually your relationship will certainly fall apart and then all what's left is broken memories.

Here's what funny about this thread: There are loads of people out here who say that most people aren't shit right? Well, I subscribe to that notion too. I dont have any "true" friends at all. I dont look at any of the people that I someone would consider my friend, an actual friend. I dont think anyone has someone else's best interests at heart. They are usually only concerned with themselves. The world is entirely self-serving. Loyalty is pretty much non-existant.

That's true. I guess it's the martyr syndrome. You got some people who love those around them so much that they willing to ride for them and let shit slide. That's why all my niggas ain;t around me... I cant really vouch for any of them, because it's always some shit with them. One of the niggas I was cool with right,? This nigga was a square ass nigga before I met him, straight nerd. But he was cool with me. He watched WWF, fucked with video games and that was my nigga. He couldnt get girls to save his life cause he dressed how niggas dress now with them small flannels and jeans and shit. He told me his parents wouldnt let him wear jerseys or white tees, and they wouldnt buy it for him. I gave this nigga like 5 white tees, 5 black tees, and 5 red tees. I used to give this nigga money since I had bread from the street. I wanted my nigga to finally come up, and get some love from all the hoes. I would go over a chick house, and have her bring over a friend that was down to fuck with my nigga.... He still couldnt close the deal and get some pussy(homie was still a virgin). He couldnt get shit clothes wise, so I gave this nigga my Spurs Jersey, Clippers Jersey, and Celtics jersey that still had his blood on it one time when he got too big for his britches and popped off some shit and I whooped his ass. We was still cool after that though. I just figured he was letting all the shit go to his head. So it kinda fucked me up when I found out that later on, AFTER I GOT INTO MY 6 YEAR relationship that this nigga was trying to get at my girl EVEN though he was 19 years old dating a 14 year old from high school that wouldnt give him no pussy, even though she had been run through by like 6 or 7 niggas that he went to school with and was cool with. He wifed her up and aint fuck for like 8 months. I tried to tell him, but I was just like you my nigga, so it dont matter. Then this nigga fucks the bitch, and dont even tell me that he fucked her and lost his virginity. Like nigga, I been trying to help you get pussy, done gave you clothes and money like you my little brother, and you cant even call me up to tell me that you finally got some pussy my nigga? As cool as we was? THen you tried to talk to my girl? Then you turned your back on me for some 14 year old smut ass bitch who wasnt fucking you, and tried to say your parents kicked you out, and I let you stay at my crib even though I knew my peoples would be against it. I snuck this nigga into my crib back when I was still living at my parents house cause I thought his parents kicked him out... come to find out, they told to tell the girl stop calling their house so late, he said well fuck yall, I just go to my nigga's house and he dont go no rules... This nigga used me to come over my house and use my peoples phone to talk to his girl for hours late at night.......

Needless to say, I aint talked to him in like 3 years and would never really talk to him again. That shit was the ultimate betrayal.
