Yes! Hopefully this thread will turn into yet another pointless/stupid debate about religion.

I never ever understood how people come up with the silly argument that God doesn't exist because bad things happen. Just sounds so naive and weak. As if only good things should happen in order to to validate God's existence. And if that was the case, then "good" really wouldn't even exist because it's the bad that defines good and vice versa.

If you read various holy scriptures, then you'd understand that they describe the world as we know it as "fallen." So bad things like this are expected to happen. So the question then becomes: are you strong enough to handle it?
