note to the gns mods

i merged like 3 or 4 of real lady's threads because they were ridiculous (a couple of minutes ago). too much weird shit on yall front page lol

BANNING AND UNBANNING AMENDMENT

on the old platform, when banning, the platform itself gave you the ability to set the duration of the ban and lifted the ban automatically when time expired (just like the poll feature and the redirect feature).

yall are looking at each other but you should be looking at todd o and icy to add this feature. this way, in the bans thread, you could post who you banned, the reason for banning, and the duration that you set the ban for. then jay could make a judgement and adjust the bans accordingly. like if sion bans shadyteam for 2 weeks and jay thinks it should only be one, he could just make the adjustment

@thatdamnjay no matter how you try to do it under this system its gonna be irritating at best. because you have to have some kind of method that can remind you to unban ppl either way. i mean if today is april 21st how many pages do you have to go back to remind yourself of someone who got banned by any random mod on april 7th?? LOL

seems as if todd o and icy are no longer here (along with greg). i dont understand because unless there will be another blackout period with some big changes about to come, nothing has really been happening with the board since the reaction features. they dont even answer posts anymore. so i guess gregs not paying them anymore LOL or instead of making additions here and there they can just shut down for a day or two and make big changes. it has to be one or the other LOL

at this point, jay would literally have to use a third party software like microsoft outlook just to keep up with ban durations etc LOLOLOL, thats insane!! and if you go back to just one person banning and unbanning then the posters will catch on and see that even when they do wild shit no swift action is taking place there for will be back to square one. the platform was off to a good start but right now its stalling on the mod, admin, and features aspect. board has stopped evolving

@Toddo and @IcyLiquid announced at the beginning that they'd be around a lot at first to implement the new board, then come back on off and on periods...Greg comes in/posts heavily when his schedule allows...

Hey chief, long time no see. Good to hear from you and thank you for the temp ban feature.

As for a list ? Here's what I've compiled.

- As originally suggested by Jamaica - Temporary Ban. But with options of 7, 14, 30 days. Or something like an option to make bans temporary or permanent.

- if possible ability for mods & admins to see who's leaving flags or reactions (this can help us narrow in on people who troll or stalk other posters)

- Ability for us to see what IPs are related to others, so we can see who's got aliases or trying to avoid bans and possible notification when such an act is done.

And that's about it, nothing excessive or anything like that. I think the temporary ban and ability to see flags/reactions is more than enough. These things alone would help us a great deal fam.

Hey guys I have a question about the spoiler feature & nudity.....

I was goin thru t0wer's thread in the GnS and I seen one cat posted a semi-nude pic but what he did was he posted it hiding it under the spoiler feature.

So I was thinking.... technically dude is bending the law if you will... now I think it's a possibility that others might do the same with more explicit pics but what I wanted to ask was how should we handle this in the future ?

in the rules its stated that as long as there is a NSFW and a Spoiler then it's ok...

remind the poster to use NSFW please or next time action will be taken.

@ the Dro/Ill Bot/Johnny Greene & Ducky issue, maybe its best we it alone. I doubt the majority of posters kept their old passwords or were hacked by dude. Plus if we made threads he'd see em too and know what's up. I guess this issue is better left for Jay to handle unless we come across actual accounts we know he's in possession of and ban accordingly.

Most posters have NOT changed their passwords...and due to the old system's flaws, JG did indeed get a majority of posters' passwords.

There is...but the more people are banned, the more "cluttered" it appears, u can't just glance at it and go from there...
