Something that I think needs to be explicitly defined is how long we ban people for. Now Spam bots or troll posters its forever, shit it goes without saying. But I'm thinking for people who mess up doing minor shit like posting a nude, cussing in a thread title, harassing a poster, posting retail links - etc. We need more clarity on the repercussions of a ban and the length of time it stays enforced.

Then from there we should add it to the rules of each forum.

I'm thinking for the minor stuff a 10 or maybe 14 day ban is enough, and should they create aliases anyways, ILL Bot will clap them so they'll get the point.

Let me know what yall think tho......

3,7,14 & 30 sounds reasonable. This is what Im thinking of based on both or ur suggestions (other mods feel free to chime in)

Retail Links or minor stuff - 3 days

Nudity - one to two weeks depending on what it is

Trolling - 30 days (you gotta make an example out of trolls, they're like roaches and if u leave them alone they'll mash things up)

Spamming - permanent

So I guess at this point we gotta ask Jay if he cool with this.

If only the admin unbans, then why is the duration so important?

The reason I ask is, I've already posted the methodology I use for banning folks and their respective durations...I think in the Bans thread, or possibly even this one.

The pm's won't stop, whether they know the duration of their bans or not.

The admin being the only one to unban is to ease the flow of confusion from the mods...u don't have to worry about it, so why worry about it? That's my job. They're pm yall and ask to lift bans regardless if they know the duration or not.

And aliases and groupies are part of the game.
