I mean mother fucker was suppose to be the best rapper on the face of the earth and as soon as Pac sonned him he was letting Puff hold him back from responding. What would you do if a nigga down the street not only fucked your wife but threaten to shoot your kids if they came down there? Would you wait 6 months for somebody else to do something to them or would you do something right then because you suppose to be the man? Biggie shoulda been in the studio right after hearing it since he the "better rapper" suppositely and a scathing diss that would make the world laugh at hit em up given how personal Pac made the battle shoulda been to all the DJ's within no later than 2 weeks. Did you watch the Notorious movie? I mean why am I even explaining this? Niggas was shook and catching heat after Pac declared war on cats. Shit got serious. Biggie almost had to bow down to E 40 or get his ass shot down in Oakland. It was nothing but smiles and respectfulness from the nigga till he did get shot in LA.

I don't know about you, but if some lunatic that got out of jail for rape and/or sodomy started talking shit about me and my family and threatening to kill my children I wouldn't stoop to his level. I'd probably file an order of protection and keep it moving. I have no idea why you guys idolize him so much. He was naive about the world and very immature. 2Pac was a horrible role model for the youth.

He was a self proclaimed "madman" that didn't make any sense. In one breath he wants to uplift the community and in the next breath he's threatening to kill Biggie's kids! 2Pac was schizophrenic and paranoid (and thats putting it lightly). He thought rappers were attacking the entire West Coast, when it was a simple matter of taste. The music in the West sounds different and New York cats weren't feeling it. Likewise, cats on the West Coast weren't feeling some of the stuff coming out of New York. Truth be told, if I was Big I would have avoided him too, not because I'm shook, but because Pac was a schizophrenic loose cannon that didn't make any sense. We all know that crazy dude that just got out of jail. The schizophrenic cat that talks to himself in public places, doesn't shower and paces back and forth with the nervous ticks and shaky hands. He rambles on and on and on when he talks; That was 2Pac, your leader.

The East Coast annihilated the West Coast to the point where the damage was immeasurable;

You made a whole Cot damn list of like 50 rappers. I stopped after you mentioned Grave diggaz.....REALLY NIGGA? GRAVE DIGGAZ? stop somebody on the streets that dont live in New york and see if they can name 5 songs from them cats. Out of your whole list, people only gave a fuck about the five or six that was at the top that all got sonned!! Not no fuckin Craig mack who had glava in ya esr and the remix and thats about it, Ill Al scratch,or Blazay Blazay who had one fuckin hit or the rest of those underground clowns that weren't dope. (Some were like Boot camp click but you know what i really mean). You really tryna act like Westside Connection and Pac and the Row wasn't doing they thing tho. Well you the only person that believe that. And I was around in 95/96 and it aint like I was just 7 years old or some crap i nigga was just about goin to high school so I actually know. You cant tell me shit about how it really was. I was waiting for that mega diss that wasn't subliminal from the mainstream rappers that claimed they had the game on lock but it never came! You probably still think New York running the rap game right now! You will sit there and clown snoop for running to no limit when ya boy Ma$e ran down south too...to church to start preaching. You mention Diddy like anybody in the 50 states got respect for his lyricism, well i got news for you: everybody fast forwards his verse when he on the track wit somebody good!

Truth fuckin hurts but fuck it, i aint finna baby you cats.

And you would turn the other cheek or rely on some white folks if a clown that you are much bigger than threatened your kids or brag to your face that your wife is a hoe? I lost respect for you as a man right there. So maybe dont kill him but you do nothing? Fuck that shit!

DR did they thing from 92-96 no doubting that.

But why folks at like NY wasn't doing nothing in that period?

Out of curiosity, what would you do in that situation? Would you get the gat and go looking for him, shoot him and go to jail for 40 to life? Thats how losers settle beefs. There's millions of people sitting in jail right now on Death Row (literally) because of some he said, she said.

Now that I think about it, Suge Knight is in jail awaiting trial for some stupid he said, she said.

I don't even know why Suge is in jail, I know he ran somebody over with a truck but I'm not sure why. It doesn't really matter anyway, it was a stupid thing to do and in hindsight I'm sure he wishes he didn't do it.

I remember back when I was in high school Slick Rick went to jail for some bullshit. He shot his cousin over something stupid and spent like 10 years in prison. Are you saying thats what Biggie should have done?

Should Biggie have gone the C-Murder route and "kept it real"?

Biggie should have released a timely diss. Supposedly everyone ran to the studio after hit em up and recorded disses. Why they never dropped comercially is unknown. Probably Puff kept all that shit suppressed cuz he didn't want it like that with DR. And that's why Death Row won the rap beef IMO. Obviously Puff won in the end so he obviously made the right moves aka real bad boys move in silence. I mean he basically put events into motion that killed pac and sent suge back to jail. But Puff is a crumb just like suge, and almost everyone associated with Bad Boy came to a bad end. Big, Black Rob, Shyne, Lox (managed to survive thankfully even tho puff was raping them), etc....

Sometimes I wonder how old some of these posters were around 95/96..

A few of you niggas weren't even old enough to understand the situation,

let alone form an opinion about it..

In 95/96 Pac had the rap game on smash,

and a lot of rappers were afraid to go at him..

When "Hit em up" dropped,

You could feel the energy in the music..

Lil' Kim don't fuck around with real G's

quick to snatch ya UGLY ass off the streets....

I think Pac's line about Lil' Kim in that song had more to do with her plastic surgery than anything Big ever said or did to her mentally..

Mobb Deep were afraid of Pac and the west coast.. Them niggas made LA LA and Prodigy removed his verse from the song before it was released..

The only entertainer/rapper involved with that situation, that wasn't afraid of pac was Puffy..

While Big was quiet,

Puff was on them Bad Boy mix tapes talking shit..

Lyrically on wax Pac wasn't iller than 1996 era Prodigy(sorry Pac stans)...and Pac is one of my favorite artists but hes not a superb battle rapper..A GOAT shit talker? Yeah maybe but that doesn't necessarily translate into GOAT battle rap songs..Hit em up had mostly two atomic ether bombs at best..the opening bar about fucking faith and the bar about biggie sleeping on his couch..the rest was filler threats until the etherous diatribe(not bars) at the end

Pacs stature in the game and his fame gave his diss more impact..Hit em up was more direct than Drop a gem on em but it had some ether on there about pacs alledged jailhouse rape and his 95 robbery..Lets not pretend like those were feather weight bars..

Off wax..Prodigy wasn't no super thug..Eye remember hearing stories/rumors of new Orleans niggas robbing P with a goddamn candy bar in a brown paper bag(pretending it's a gun)..

Plus eye met prodigy in person at a bar in atl..Nigga was a fucking midget..eye can see why he gets tested on the regular..Pretty sure Pac would of beat Ps ass in a physical altercation back in the day

Cosign. I'm wondering how people are calling Drop a Gem on Em weak when P was rapping about Pac getting raped and robbed in NY

Funny how Prodigy say Pac got raped in jail..

Fast forward years later,

and there's gay jail rumors of Prodigy

that even his group member Havoc cosigned and said were true..

Summing this shyt up, Pac is like a diety to some of these cats....Every thing people say is met with excuses....Mobb Deep dont say his name, but its clear who they're speaking about, and its, Oh, they scared, they didnt mention his name....Chino XL mentions his name, and its, nobody heard it, he wasnt on Pac's level...I thought the purpose of diss tracks was to get at your foe, not whats the more popular track... I never heard anyone diss 2nd Round K.O because Canibus wasnt as big as Cool J...50 cent was fresh off of selling 8 mill, and nobody said that D Block wasnt on his level when they were riding on him...Yo, these cats got more excuses than a nigga standing before the judge....
