After seein this video...I can honestly say...That while I had already believed it to be true...I am now 95% sure that Chris Brown would beat the shit outta Drake if they ever really fought...

i was hooked on dis song 1st time i heard it... it does sound like somthin mj would do...

this goes 2 show that people cant deny his talent...

I'm glad to see Chris coming back to that real R&B feel, then Usher coming back, R.Kelly taking it back, Joe coming out with that new R&B music, gotta give props to Miguel and then you got new cats coming out with real R&B, I heard this cat John Michael's song Sophisticated Lady on the radio last week at work and it instantly became a favorite, here are some of the R&B joints I been listening to alot.

@waterproof

you're a fan of Miguel?

@BlackGerald yeah i am fan of Miguel and MIguel is the leader of the New School right now....Frank Ocean didnt deserve to have the album of the year, that's the grammy's and hollywood always taking care of their own (homosexuals)...

I mean Miguel was doing the soul shit when everbody was on that euro-pop techno shit, it was Miguel who took a stand and did music his way with ALL I Want Is You album...... but the masses head was turn because 1) He was a young dude and 2) Maxwell and El Debarge had the older heads and those who was longing for some good r&b and soul, but with good music you cant stop a hit, All I Want Is U caught that young urban ears and the top 40 and Pop radio, Soul music from this a new cat.

Trey Songs, Chris Brown, Usher went the techno euro route because they couldnt push what they want and they labels told them that the euro shit is hot, but i say this and will say it again, THE BLACK URBAN CROWD always have and always will change the music landscape and lead the direction of american culture, when we get tired of something and know when we are being forced even though it will take along time, the streets will move and go back to the real.

but back to Miguel timing also when AIWIU was dropped, Frank Ocean and The weeknd was emerging and FROM MY POINT OF VIEW even though SOME OF the beats was hollow, LACKING SOUL it was something new and the crowd was tired of the euro-pop shit and plus it was a lack of raw edgy r&b, that street r&b it was always a balance in r&b in soul music for a Jackie Wilson there was a Sam Cooke, for a Smokey Robinson there was a David Ruffin, for a Stevie Wonder there was Marvin Gaye, there was a Bobby Womack, Rick James, Bobby Brown, Jodeci..... that raw, hardcore cheating in the next room shit.

And in my opinion that's what the weeknd and Frank Ocean brought we wanted something more than that euro-shit and it was fresh and new again Miguel was right in the middle of that emergence but still you cant deny soul music. R.Kelly went to do that real soul and the dream was just chillin, Pleasure P was hiding, STATIC MAJOR is dead

The Dreamn dropped that Monster 1977 and satisfied us with that real shit, claiming his spot again that 1977 was better then most shit out, then MIGUEL dropped that BOMB on our heads with Kaleidscop Dream not only is was the BEST SOUL & r&b album, IT HAD A REAL HIT...

now people will call hot songs a hit, muthafuckas dont know what a HIT RECORD, A HIT RECORD defines a period, its will never get OLD, it crosses over and reaches generation, everybody knows the lyrics....

ADORE IS A HIT RECORD, ADORE NEVERS GET OLD, ADORE is this generation SEXUAL HEALING.

check this out sometimes i bounce on the weekend, to get out the house, free drinks, mingle with the ladies and to get a feel and catch the beat of the nightlife and music, 250.00 for a few hours and all that i named, shit not bad...

Now every song that's is out and just dropped, the so-called hot shit, you name the artist in soul & r&B, pop, and i tell you the crowd is ok, they want to dance, so some will dance, some go to the bar and some will have a seat, go take a piss, go outside and smoke a newport or a blunt.

BUT WHEN ADORE COMES ON, everybody from old school playa, thug nigga, round a way girl, neo soul earth girl, the rastas, asians, mexicans, old folks that celebrating, man EVERYBODY is on the floor and singing adore word from word, dancing, the bartender is singing, i mean the floor is pack...... That's what a HIT DOES....

you want to know if you have a hit, play your song in front of a person from the age 45-65 if they asses get up in move, then you know you got a hit..

you can't force a hit no matter how much the record label pay the dj to spin the record or what they say

*Adorn lol

Adorn is self written and self produced too. A couple of people have compared "Adorn" to "Sexual Healing" before as well, I can def agree with that.

i agree, Frank Ocean's mixtape was good because of the songwriting and singles but the album was boring and really highlight how bad of a singer he is, along with lackluster production. 1977 was great, House of Balloons by Weeknd was good but he's very limited as a vocalist. Personally, i've always been an r&b fan (used to get made fun back in middle school lol) but i've kinda not listened to much r*b in awhile til last year

Adorn is the #1 r&b song of last year and you're right, never gets old. Personally, I first heard of Miguel with that song he had with J Cole. I saw him in concert early last year and became a fan then after seeing his live shows and the response he got.

i even fuck with all the remixes (except the Wiz one)

I mess with Miguel heavy, but i feel like Jeremih is underrated aswell, nigga be having good features

That Birthday Sex song was nice, but i've been sleeping on him til early this year. He has good hooks for rap songs but his Late Night mixtape was phenomenal.

Yes, Miguel got that soul for the new generation along with BJ the Chicago Kid.. Yall need to check out Jesse Boykins III if yall like true smooth vocal r&B.

@waterproof That El DeBarge album is still in rotation. Shit is too smooth. I need that man to stay outta trouble and keep coming with music.

And El debarge supposed to release a new album soon, DJ Quik is handling some connections and when those two genius get together, smooth G shit..

BJ Chicago Kid Pineapple Now&Laters is that smooth g shit my favorite album last year is going to be in rotation with Jessie Boykins, Danny Boy's "It's About Time" and The Dream's 1977 with Quik's Book of David and MC Ehit Keep it Hood ep,

gotdamn! this is straight flames! shout out to Breezy for some good music. the instruments with the violin and the drums is killing it. he even stepped up vocally. He should have a huge hit on his hand.

I know it probably gets said a lot but Miguel made a lane for soul to get back in the forefront. hopefully everybody is willing to get behind that movement.

video. definitely influenced by MJ! homage has been paid in the right way

First song I liked from CB in a while he needs to stop rapping and that pop shit and stick to r&b

CB be having good shit hidden in his albums behind all the pop singles

Copped

And LOL @ Kellz naming his next shit Black Panties . .

Looks like I'mma cop me more RnB/Soul CDs than rap in 2013

Have been raiding 90s RnB CDs since the beginning of the year

Just saw the video, and I'm disgusted. Chris needs to understand that he's Chris Brown not MJ. All he's doing is making himself look like a fool.

Why can't these new artists leave classic acts alone. Stop trying to remake shit and do you.

^^^^ bruh EVERYONE knows that video was a tribute to MJJ. Mike is the figure-head for nearly all these younger RnB cats more especially the ones who are into dance (Usher, Ne-Yo, Omarion etc)

I like the direction he's gone now: good vocals, nice visuals on the video and less of the RnB thug/rapper shit . .

Good looking

Who cares? It didn't match up well to MJ at all, and because of that it was disrespectful. Plus his vocals were TERRIBLE.

Also, Chris Brown hasn't done the R&B/Hip-Hop shit in a minute. Dude is a full blown pop artist nowadays.

Bruh that's like you saying A Young Mike Jax shouldn't have been hitting the James Brown foot work and slide, moving like Jackie Wilson, blowing like a Sam Cooke at the age of 9..........

all it is a video tribute to the KING OF POP
