I love bad and think it's michael's 2nd best. It's not an easy victory,but thriller's the goat album of michael and my favorite album period. "speed demon " and "just good friends" hurt the bad album's greatness and stops it short of thriller's virtual perfection.

I love certain parts of "Bad"...but of all of MJ's albums it ages the worst by far. Its the only one that sounds dated. Off The Wall, Thriller, Dangerous and History all transcend the era and time they were released in. "Bad" does not. Its an "80's album". A good one, but nonetheless....

Good point! I say it goes Thriller>Off The Wall>Dangerous>Bad>Invincible>HIStory. Bad is too much of a an intentional pop album. Thriller and Dangerous may have pop songs too, but the majority of songs on those albums are R&B songs that became popular. I also think Bad woulda been even better had Streetwalker and Fly Away made the album over Just Good Friends and Speed Demon.
