ABC CANCELS ‘UNCLE BUCK’ AFTER FIRST SEASON

ABC has decided not to renew its freshman series “Uncle Buck” for a second season. The season one finale (and now series finale) aired last night capping an 8-episode season over the course of four weeks, airing two episodes a night on Tuesdays at 9 and 9:30 p.m.

Ratings for the series averaged 3.8 million total viewers in Nielsen live-plus-same day numbers.

It does. What's odd is shows have been renewed with less views than that.

Community, one of the greatest cable comedy shows ever, had its first season episodes air right after the office aired on nbc. The show had something like 6 million views per episode so they renewed it for season 2. The show was airing during season 7 of the office, the one that was Steve Carrell last season. When season 2 of community started, they opened with 5 mill, bUT steadily dropped all season until it was around 2-3 million. Found out that a majority of views were from people who left the channel on nbc once the office was over. Community was renewed until season 5 despite the low views but it had a hardcore dedicated fanbase. It got cancelled after season 5 and a day before the contracts expired yahoo was able to renew it with a deal between nbc and Sony to show season 6 on the now shutdown yahoo screen.

Did he actually leave? Last I remember he was in a accident in the season finale. It's like they knew his abc show wouldn't last so they wrote a open ending to his character on Survivors Remorse. He got time now lol.

I seen a few episodes on Hulu and it was't that bad but it wasn't all that funny either.

I'm not a Mike Epps fan at all but besides looking at sexy Nia Long he was the high-light of the show. Which after saying I'm not a fan of his work tells a lot about the show. lol
