It is revealed in the first gameplay of Ground Zeroes, revealed to the public at PAX Prime 2012 on September 1st, 2012, that Paz is confirmed to be alive after the events of Peace Walker, and that Chico has been captured by an unknown military group. Both characters were revealed to be on Camp Omega, an American-owned military installation located on Cuba, and Big Boss's mission in the gameplay is to retreive both of them.

She turns up again in Portable Ops, but whether that game is considered canon or not I don't know.
