Then it was at some point they started rap a lot west and they appointed some other guy like CEO though nothing ever really dropped. Can't remember his name but yukmouth was not happy about that. Kinda slightly dissed j prince on one of his mixtapes and that's why west coast don got shelved for so long. to the point where he just dropped whatever to get off of rap a lot and out of that contract. By the time Yuk realized it he was already stuck. Samething for Z-ro. shit started off all gravy with rap a lot but after a year or 2 he wasn't fucking with rap a lot anymore either.

and he's actually suing Pimp c's wife for 10 masters so he can reproduce and sell some more pimp c stuff.

I think j prince and them have done some shady side deals on some illegal shit but rap a lot isn't a front.

Prince, literally, million$, I find it hard to believe J can't use his money, power, influence, and connections, to at least get the man out on bond. Murderers, who have never sold a record, get out on bond everyday. Face has always been loyal to J. On Tela's classic track "The World Ain't Enuff", Face even says that he loves J and would defend him with his life. I thought it was death before dishonor J? And what about the time he allegedly had Bushwick beat nearly to death by members of the 5th Ward Boyz? One of whom, I believe, is currently (or was) locked up for bank robbery. Just like one of the guys from Do Or Die (Nard, I think) is doin time on a bank robbery. Why would successful RAL artists have to result to bank robbery? And I'm sure they're gettin lots of support from J.Prince. I bet he'd already repo'd Pimp C's Bentley and the diamond jewelry he bought him from Emmitt's before his body was in the ground.

I know it's not J Prince's duty to hold another man's hand, but the way he handled all of his artists seemed shady as hell.

It's not a coincidence that Devin, Trae, and Face all left within a span of a few years. RAL is my favorite label of all time, but Z-Ro had a damn song with ASHANTI that RAL didn't even promote.

Devin had tracks with Snoop, Lil Wayne, and 3 Stacks on the "Waiting To Inhale" album that RAL didn't promote.

Trae also had tracks that should've been promoted more.

J Prince is a great businessman and a great boxing manager, but the way he's handled RAL over the past 10 years is a joke.

Exactly. That's what I meant about RAL's ntorious lack of promotion. They didn't promote Devin's "It's A Shame" single off of Just Tryin ta Live that was produced by Dr. Dre! At the time Chronic 2001 was still on the charts and Dre was on fire. Look at the difference in sales of Scarface's The Fix, compared to M.A.D.E. and Emeritus. Which to me, were not quite as good as The fix, they were still damn good albums. The only reason M.A.D.E. got any attention is because the radio d.j.'s started playin that track with Trey Songz. But you're dead-on with that about "What A Job". I think I heard it on the local rap station one time at about 2:00 a.m. That was a certified hit. Snoop and Andre 3000 on the same track? Does RAL even have an A&R dept.?
