So if you have a woman that won't screw you in a divorce if that happens, would you still marry or at least try?

Problem with that is you're never really gonna know unless you get in that situation.

Not really worth the risk.

Not planning to get married. Impacts my career choices because I have more freedom. Got friends that feel like they gotta stay at the same job because they have a family and can't really don't want to uproot shit.

I could give or take family.

I'm glad I don't have kids. I can get up & get out whenever.

I might get married if I find a woman worth marrying who I can picture being with forever. Family is important to me. But I've already got a happy, healthy son so if I never have another kid or get married, I'd be good. Wouldn't really affect my career choices. I'm a in a super stable gig that's pretty transferrable to almost any city. I'll may need to move to Hollywood at some point in the next couple years, but whoever I'm with is gonna know that ahead of time.

its not only because they grow up without fathers, it's because society expectation makes some men inferior. To be a good man you have to be perfect".. so since society gave men and women unreal expectations of what being good and REAL, some people cop out and don't be shit, because they think they got to overdo it to be considered, GOOD and REAL. Then look at the people society idolize some of them are false perception and people start to define good as FAKE. You see the typical suppose to be good person acting phony 24/7, some get the perception, I'mma keep it real and be a GREESE BALL 24/7

I don't if I agree with that. I have never known a perfect man, but I've known lots of good men. It's not about perfection. It's about having a good representation of what a man is, and nowadays people are so influenced by bullshit they see in media (social and traditional) that they don't really have a good idea of what a real man is. That would not be a problem if people had strong male presences in their lives, but a lot of people don't.

thats what I was saying, that society define good men as perfect, so alot of men get intimidated by the role society has given man, and drop out the race, because they feel they can't meet the expectation of perfection.

I understood what you meant, and I disagree. I don't see where anyone expects good men to be perfect, and I don't think dudes are abandoning their efforts because they can't meet perfection. If anything, the image of the modern man is less than flattering so I don't see where anybody expects perfection from us.

for me personally, I'm more concerned about my own personal happiness. I'm trying to live a simple happy life so right now, and probably never... it doesn't make since for me to look for a wife and kids...

Right now my goal is just to continue preparing for retirement so I can die peacefully... if I get lonely as an old dusty male I will have budgeted into my retirement funds a nice lovely prostitute who will talk to me until my eventual death. The rest will go to my nephews

men are losing our gender identity. I mean what does it mean to be a man? too many men don't know.

I forget what tribe it is, but its one in Africa where the teen boys put white paint all over their body and are separated from everyone for like a week and then finally wash it off after the week goes by. They return as 'a man' after they do that ritual. Maybe we should do something similar so there's no more confusion about this

For many men, it's just not worth it to have kids anymore. Cost of living is way too high and we got bills and mortgages to think about. Saving for retirement AND having kids these days is something short of a miracle for the avg American now.

Having a wife is cool if she's not a bird brain and can actually support herself. The problem is that many women aren't worth marrying anymore, too many have wack ass jobs that they aren't going anywhere with and even worse, many women can't afford to get a decent education without being shit loads in debt. I personally am not gonna marry a chick with tons of debt, I'll never go anywhere helping her ass out.

I have a decent job and with experience plan on doubling my income next year. I expect women to catch up and be on my level, but most women aren't doing shit with their lives for the most part, so most men are simply waiting it out, like I am

The house of cards is definitely falling and just wait till more and more people see how expensive Obamacare is lol. People are telling me all the time they can't afford the sky high prices of the UNaffordable Care Act so combine that with the cost of living getting even higher by the day, Americans are gona be in for a shocker the next few years........ya'll need to delay having kids and start saving for a rainy day right now....

The responses in this thread should answer the op. Listen to the fear, the concern, the doubt.

Men never told you what they couldn't do, or were afraid to do.

If you're trying to say real men don't worry about the future, just say it. But a lot of daredevils are having kids out there and many of them can't take care of them for shit. Resorting to a life of crime to take care of kids is also cool, until the nigga gets locked up and then his female has to resort to selling her pussy to her neighbors and online to make ends meet. It's all good till the cycle repeats itself.......

You want more broke ass niggas and bitches raising kids they can't afford? Knock yourself out brah, but last I saw, there was enough bitches out here selling pussy to make a living. Don't get me started on the men in jail trying to provide a living for those kids........

If you (or anyone) dont wanna have kids, just say it. Nothing wrong with that. But dont blame economics.

If u dont do it right (baby mamma, child support, wasnt ready for a kid anyway) of course you gon have a struggle life.

But if you doin it right (kid + wife + dual family income) its not that damn hard (economically). Its been done ages before us, which you young nggas dont undertsand. Yall ego lead yall to believe everything yall doin is some brand new shyt.
