To be honest, I've actually found myself calmer and cooler around people who had an ego as big as mine.. felt like good family..

people who weren't overly confident and all though just makes me feel weird around them

No clue.. if whoever it was seemed very shy and did not think highly of them self, then more than likely.

The ego, the false self. This imaginary concept of who we think we are, that becomes defensive, threatened, anxious, fearful, angry, greedy and all the rest when it perceives it's "life" is at "risk". So someone who lacked ego would be more buddha like in nature.
