I'm seeing these ads on the subway trains, I have no reason to take it seriously. People have been saying the end is near since 1999, and we're still here. I'll believe it when I see it.

didnt read the whole article but i thought the bible teaches that NO ONE knows when the second coming of the lord will be other than God himself.

therefore im willin to bet those guys a lot of money that it will NOT happen that day

Ron Hardeski of Bayonne, New Jersey also predicted the world would end on February 27th, 2004 – his wife’s 50th birthday. The world didn’t end, so Ron beat his wife to death with a Bible. He’s serving a life sentence

Nah. People have been saying that since 400 years after Christ's death (most likely sooner than that) and throughout the years afterwards especially in the 1800s. I checked and apparently the Jehovah's Witnesses had predicted it in 1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941. 1975, and 1994. What we have here most likely with these Christian groups are fundamentalists or misguided Christians.

Go figure...;2559962 said:

My sentiments exactly. I even remember reading or hearing that the second coming will come when we least know it. I'm starting to think that if we want the second coming, the best thing we can do is to not think about it at all. These Christian groups are doing it wrong...

wouldn't you want it before your finals? So you dont have to do all that work?
Nah, then this semester would've been a waste of money.

And I don't like to waste money.

If that's the case then it would never happen. Everyone has their own predictions and thoughts of the "end days", someone will eventually get it right if it does occur.

Couple of weeks ago I picked two [one English other Thai language] of their brochures

from a rack in the back of a "baht bus" [pick up truck taxi] in Jomtien Thailand.

Final "beast" has to reign for 42 months before the chapter 19 second coming.

Final "beast" has not even emerged yet,

so something big might happen the 21st, but it won't be the chapter 19 second coming.
