Hey P had me and my boys at the record store EVERYTIME a No Limit track came out and I have to admit they do have some albums that can are debatable classics. Where I was from you better have your own copy cuz there was no way u was borrowing anything No Limit. The only problem he had was an overkill of Beats By The Pound.......Lex Luger should serve notice cuz when you start sounding the same your style gets stale QUICK.

BBTP was a gift and curse to No Limit. It was good to have them on the roster as producers beause they gave everyone dope beats for years, but once they left the lable, everyone took a nose dive in their careers. I haven't heard anything from BBTP once they left NL, and the lable itself hasn't been the same since BBTP left.

Once Beats by the pound were gone the label basically died. Snoop gave them a slight rebirth. Then one by one folks started goign indy on hteir own and none of them had any success without P besides Mystikal

Yeah No Limit was never able to recover from BBTP leaving like Cash Money did when Mannie left.

I think P was the greatest hustler off all time in the rap game, he just wasn't able to maintain his empire like Jay Z, P Diddy, Baby (I hate to say it), or Russell Simmons.

I think P had the best label deal of all time in hiphop and the record labels will never give that type of lucritive deal to anyone again

The underestimated stat of P's hustle is the 85/15 pressing and distribution he got off priority. That was beyond groundbreaking it was unheard of in music in gerneral. Everyone from Puff to Clive to Cohen has all agreed that Master P had got the most lucrative contract in music history. He keeps his masters. he keeps his publishing. he owns his label 100% with ZERO influence from Bryan Turner. None of the major players except for some jew we never seen before has that much control of their contract in music nowadays. Jay Z 360 deal for 150 Million is sofa cushing money compared to P's deal. We will never see a black artist in the history of the universe ever ever ever ever ever again have a deal like Master P. I would love to be the fly on the wall in the room to soak up the game he spit to Priority in 95 for them to give him that deal. Niggas need to get off Jay Z and Puff dick and start learning from the Williams Bros and Miller Family about hustling. Master P wont never get his dues because he is a southerner and self hating uncle tom new yorkers would rather hate on his intelligence and act like his wealth and family legacy dont exist. besides c murder what can you say bad about master p or the millers. his children were BLACK actors on a BLACK show on a white tv network he was always community oriented. Romeo went to USC. and like ptown pointed out he was making average hood niggas live out their rap dreams by going gold or better. mia x was his employee in his record shop and he gave an opportuinty for people to see her talents as one of the most underrated female MCs of all time. he got Mystikal and Snoop Dogg out of bad label situations. He had hood niggas acting beside B List thespians in his straight to VHS movies. He always had clothing and food giveaways, grants for schools and community programs. Him and Juvenile put aside bullshit rap beef to be the first hip hop responders to the Hurricane Katrina. Master P and Juvenile were on Fox 8 and radio broadcast like a day after it hit land passionaite and crying getting to help people and bring national attention to what was going on instead of writing an awkward song about it a year later. Master P been a real nigga and true to himself from day 1. selfish and master P dont go together

Master P was brilliant. Dude made all that dough with some of the worst MCs ever, with the exception of Snoop when he was there. He started the whole, put a wack rapper on a banging track that spawned the Guccis and the Wakas we have today.

People winnin for real all around you.

P's downfall was his p.miller clothing line ... ... had that took off for him he would be Diddy and Jayz of the south .... and if you think about it ... successfull clothing lines is what extended Diddy and Jayz to that next level and staying power in the game .......

u dont need to be a fly ... you just need facts and profits to back your negotiations ;) and P had that remember he was indy first .... he didnt just walk thru the door and get a deal ... he took 10k he got from an insurance claim and turned it into millions ........ ;)

I think it's funny the "wackest" niggas in rap got the best deals in music history. I think Cash Money may have actually gotten a better deal at Universal than P did at Priority.

Respect to the originator, though. Son had the most epic run of any artist not named Michael Jackson.

His music was ass, No Limit sucked but I always appreciated the man's hustle...

mid to late 90's Massa P had the game in a choke-hold

didnt listen to Ice Cream Man or Ghetto D post

I got a total of 3 Massa P tracks on my ipod, fuck u mean?

3 tracks or 3 albums?

and if the music was so ass...why have any of his songs? I think Lil B's songs are ass...his tracks are nowhere on my phone...see how this works?

im just saying fam...you kinda contradicting yourself...if you had said "his music was ass, but i fucks with a few tracks from him" that covers you ...but when you say the music is ass, then admit to having some of his songs on your playlist, you contradicting you previous statment...

if I said I got 30 Massa P songs on my ipod and made that statement, I would be contradicting myself...

there's only 3 tracks from him I fuck with, is it impossible to think someone makes crappy music but there's a handful of songs from them you listen to? what you're doing right now is grasping at straws...
