Not to add his movies...I"m bout it..shit sold a 1 million copies when it dropped, and back then that movie was 19.95 to get lol...and "I got the hook up" the movie theater was packed when that shit came out...dude milk the shit out the game and I've yet to see anybody in the game do it like he did it..

I saw that article. It was the richest 40 people under 40 and Master P was ranked ahead of Michael Jordan. But I think the article was in 1999 if I'm not mistaken.

Man I can go on and drop gems in this thread about how this dude ran his label...Dude roster was so average and how he focused on just pushing out his product...First other record labels were giving you 14-15 tracks..P was giving ppl 20-22 tracks on his CDs... he went out and got the best that was out..When dude recruited Mystikal...man that was the cherry on top..and He didn't need this dude..

That last verse on "Make'em say ugh" when that song came out..I'm talking about when you bought that album and the 1st time you heard Mystikal on that song...that single right there took off...the video wasn't even OUT and that was the song that was played at every party...every football game..every school dance...

Mystikal joined the tank that was a wrap and anybody who was knowledge back then know that when folks would buy a NL cd, the 1st thing they would do was see what song Mystikal was on and bump that song all day..Say I'm lying lol..cuz I did it...

Man I can go on, but I will just say dude paved the way for your Baby's and all the rest of these CEOs of today, even Puff couldn't mess with this dude and Russ, at that time, they were the biggest CEOs back then, that you could put in the same breath as P, but they wasn't seeing this dude..and they had a much bigger audience than P and P still was putting out Gold and Platinum albums, with LITTLE RADIO AND TV

Granted he hasn't been relevant on a mainstream level since 2004, from 96-99 they had the game on smash (on an independent level at that).

Considering they dropped 22 albums in 98 alone, this ain't hard to believe at all.
