Hearin' over 100 people died but they won't release the figure

BBC are saying the number is around 70.

Just seen this on the news now. I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher.

People are getting pissed off and rightly so. In one of the richest boroughs in the world or something like that and yet you've got people living in flats that lack basic safety measures. The divide between rich and poor in this country couldn't be more apparent.

I read that the apartment owner is in hiding in his mansion. Now let me preface this by saying I don't know much about business... But if anything like this happens in your building and the people running your building don't tell you or you look the other way after they tell you way before something like this potentially happens, you're going to get in trouble and you deserve to get in trouble.

If this is true then it's because he knows he's guilty. Cheap refurbishment material when they might as well have drenched the place in petrol - the people that are in charge have blood on their hands and they know it.

Theresa May doing a 20 minute photo-op and not a single word to the locals... her career as PM is officially over.

This all comes down to money! this shit would never have happened in one of them posh buildings they have recently built in the city of London, poor people pay rent and council tax and they deserve to be protected in 2017, we know all there is to know about fire and how it spreads in this day and age but still they just ignored them and didn't give a fuck, the UK has become all about the money now just like in America.

Police are now saying that around 58 people are missing and presumed dead. So the original rumours of over 100 is now looking to be true... SMFH.

Edit: Ignore me. The 58 is the official total so far, but unfortunately is still expected to rise.

More than 1,000 people have gathered outside Downing Street to protest against Theresa May’s leadership.

There is a real undercurrent of antipathy towards the prime minister, with the crowd’s verdict of how she has dealt with the Grenfell Tower fire ranging from anger to disgust.

Almost unanimously the protesters believe she should resign immediately, the word “coward” being the most commonly used in reference to May.

Tilly Howarth, 28, from Brighton who works in the social housing sector, said: “She’s a coward and needs to leave. The people are waking up to the rightwing mainstream media and May just doesn’t get the public mood.”
