Like somebody else said, mental health in America is terrible..banning guns won't alleviate all the issues. I'm not paranoid the government's going to take over, but I feel for those who do...it feels good be insured for the worst (even though that seems like an extreme case), just like having flood insurance and you live in an area that doesn't predominately have floods.

Cases like this and others allude to mental deficiencies with the shooters.

Getting Mental health in order is damn near impossible but it should be a priority to take steps..I mean you have people walking around with all sorts of undiagnosed shit.... then theres the group of people who dont have medical mental health issues and are just fucking crazy

Like many have stated already, guns don't kill people, people kill people and if somebody wants to inflict bodily harm to others they will figure out a way to do it with or without guns.

I'm not a super duper NRA cardholder but I feel that I legally own weapons and shouldn't be punished because of the few crazy people that are doing crazy things.

Make the screening process (like many have already stated) to own certain weapons more thoro

Im just saying, with all the people saying taking away guns does nothing, if you guys research countries that took away guns the last 10-20, you would see the amazing results they got.

Im not a expert on the subject but just check Australias gun issues and the results they got after they banned guna for example.

I think we been told by the right wing so many times that taking guns away wont solve anything were starting to believe it.

This has nothing to do with criminals having guns and how they will find ways to get guns either. No one is saying there wont be a single death that involves guns with stricter laws, but things like mass shootings were mostly harmless people have easy access to a gun and start busting shots goes down a lot.

Again, im not a expert though. Im just saying countries that changed their laws to ban guns saw a huge decrease in mass shootings.

Will that work here? Maybe not. But to brush off the theory that less gun=less mass shootings because the right wing has been pushing that train of thought is just baseless.
