Marvel's The Punisher

I just finished watching this series. Way better than that trash Iron Fist series Marvel gave us. My only problem with this series is the same as DD it takes so long for the story telling to pickup the pace. The real action didn't get started until the warehouse shootout between Billy Russo's goons/Homeland security agents. The last 3 episodes were crazy as hell especially the fight scene between Frank/Billy in the park.

I like the twist they put on Frank/Russo instead of making them enemies right out the gate. The Punisher as a whole started out too slow but picked up towards the end. 7/10.

ARRRRRGH THIS SHIT IS AMAZIN'

Watching Micro watch Frank and his wife gave a nigga chills. Dude froze the screen and got drunk, nothing even happened and his life was ruined. That whole dynamic was great.

*Micro's wife calls*

Frank: "That's your wife, should i answer that?"

Micro: "l don't know, she's your girlfriend"

Dead. That whole shit had me uneasy.

I kinda like the reworking of Jigsaw. It wasn't necessary to make it that personal, but it made him more of a threat than the comics usually makes him.

The woman that plays Madani is BAD. I'm sad that she likely won't be back. The rando Feds that chase Frank never come back. I hope they break the rules to make her a regular.

The amount of violence and torture in this shit is perfect. When Frank raked Billy's face over that glass I was cringing hard. It was like the 13th hard cringe of the season, there was at least one per episode.

micro had a little bitch for a son. dude punched his little sister in the face. the fuck? if i was micro i would’ve caved that little niggas chest in as soon as I saw him. “fuck you doing punching your sister? don’t worry about how i knew nigga”

i understood their purpose but I didn’t really care for Billy and Dinah. their acting was dry as fuck to me. but Billy became a cool heel after killing Dinah’s partner then washing his blood of her like nothing happened. that was some cold shit boy

Dinah was shot in the head. she should be dead as fuck but caught two bruised eyes instead. okay

I would hate to hear how Dinah’s mom sounds while getting fucked

Story has to be told. Can't just jump straight to action and there was action before before that warehouse. You forgot about the woods with the PMC from Billy hunting them down? The pacing was on point and things escalated natural to me.

I liked the Brotherhood shared between, Frank, and Billy had in curt's apt.

Each one would kill Billy and Vice versa but Billy let curt put his leg on and get coffee, then after curt and frank tried to kill Billy and after Billy shoots curt he promises not to shoot him as curt hands him the phone with Frank on the line.

Shit even Billy helped Frank kill rawls

What was also dope to me was when frank tried to kill rawls with the rifle and the glass was bulletproof

This was visceral though and I loved it. Only downside is like the first two eps but it picked up nicely

I think this was the best season 1 of all the Marvel Netflix series. The pacing was perfect and the action was abundant.

I have a few coworkers who said Frank cared too much about people but the comics I read he wasn't a misanthrope. He didn't take it easy on what is perceived as bad people though.

Frank is often mischaracterized as a blank killing machine. But ask anyone whose read his comics, he often makes acquaintences and befriends kids.

He's Mad Max without the apocalyptic backdrop. He comes in, helps out and leaves.

Only when in books with solid good guys (like Spidey or Daredevil) is his positioned as a psycho who seemingly murderers criminals indiscriminately.
