Got better as it went on, but you can tell this was thrown together on some "It's Marvel Cinematic Universe, it'll be GOAT off rip" over confidence right down to dude's haircut improving in the final scene. The M. Night Shymalan'd this ish, and let the episodes themselves count as takes because the lead's acting didn't start seeming believable until like the 10th episode. Everything before that was first-take cringe.

Fish out of water angle was beat into the ground. Street smarts are usually ingrained quickly due to the steep consequences failure brings and how traumatic surviving can be. Rand had how many life-or-death struggles and kept the same "Make shit up on the fly" response how many times?

The anger issues/aversion to killing. I'm sorry but most child soldiers come out like Davos.

Speaking of Davos, nice nod to his Steel Serpent stealing Iron Fist powers ish. I'm not all the way certain, but didn't Danny's powers spaz out every time Davos was around?

Meachum Family actors were the glue holding this shit together from an acting standpoint. Ward, aka Deputy Nazi from Banshee, was cool as Gordon Gecko Jr.

Season 2 has to go harder.

the episode with the tournament against the hand was the best one. I like how lei Keung the thunderer was guiding danny during the tournament. I like how it made reference to his test againgt shaou lao the dragon lord and how madam gao mentioned the tree of life in the middle of kun'lun

I noticed something. when ward and joy had that meeting with that carl winslow looking dude he said that to joy that she got a lot of hits on social media because of that "incredible green guy" he was talking about the hulk and the incident. when the hulk ran throught that building in the avengers movie that was the rand building.

So are people not liking it because of their familiarity with the comics? I know nothing of the comics and thought this was pretty damn good. Definitely better than JJ.

I actually thought the fight choreography in Luke Cage was worse than in Iron Fist. Luke Cage fights were horrible.
