Mark Jackson: D. Wade is the 3rd best Shooting Guard in NBA History

First off Mark Jackson's opinion on basketball I take with a grain of salt. Jon Barry seems to be the only one on that abc panel that has good sense as far as the current NBA. Second I assume this was a BS thread the moment I saw T/S list with Big O, Iceman, Dr. J listed as some of the best shooting guards of all-time.

Yeah, but the comment made sense..After MJ, Kobe, who is a better 2 guard? Wade has a ring, gold medal, all-stars, finals MVP, scoring leader year after year, endless moves.. What more can he do to solidify that third spot?

Clyde and Joe Dumars have most of those things.

The only thing Wade has that Clyde dont is a finals MVP.

He also had a better all around game. Defense, rebounding, were better than wade's.

He was a better finisher.

I think Wade is ill, just toooo early for that.

Also, i always heard O was a combo guard. Was unsure about Gervin and J.

Oscar Robertson Was a PG ....That's Why you Hear him Mentioned on TV and By "Experts" in the All-Time PG Rankings, he's Always Right behind Magic Johnson and some folks have him ahead ..Big-O aint never mentioned with 2Guards..

Back then i Dont even think they had Numbers as far as the "1" or the "2" 'u were just known as a Guard...And at times Big-O would Play Off Ball....And that Created the "Combo Guard" talk for Big-O'

But he's known as a PG

I'm going to put myself in the hotseat and say Wade is not even better than Iverson was

Thats not a hot seat comment. Wade would probably tell you that too. Statistics definately would.

You are correct, but the fact that he was 6'5 and always leading or close to the top of the league in scoring, in college and professionals,

is one reason why people think he was a shooting guard. But he was known as the first big point guard.

wade is 3rd best only because he hasnt played as long or with a team like Kobe had.

But 3rd is more than fair.

I don't know man, Iverson was a great passer, and he could push those bums to help him get 5-6 assist. Wade for most of his career has had somebody to pass the ball to.
