for the most part I was always coo with him as an artist. I just think he be greater if his albums was a tad bit more cohesive. He's better in street-poetic form than political.

i still don't like the way he handled the Pete Rock situation. Lupe blame pete for making a few public tweets, which was rly done out of disappointment, while he himself publicly goes on AIR sounding like he foaming at the mouth losing breath. But I aint impressed. Son weaker than cheese for that.

Most definitely one of my favorite artists. First two albums were nice. Most of his mixtapes are equal to, or better than, his albums IMO.

Hated Lasers moreso because of its presentation than its lyrics. Lyrically, I felt he was saying what he's always said. Musically though, that auto-tune was wack as fuck and some of the production was definitely sub par.

I have rather lofty expectations for F&L2, but based on what I've heard so far, I think he may live up to them.

I do feel like he holds himself in extremely high regard, which is fine to a certain extent. I prefer a confident emcee to a humble one, seeing as how humility can be a false pride as well. But he does seem to go overboard with it occasionally and he has those moments where it seems like he's always complaining about something.

All in all, I feel like there are way more positives than negatives when you're dealing with Lupe. And as long as he doesn't let his ego overshadow his talent, he may be mentioned as one of the greats when it's all said and done.
