Even when I feel like I've played this out, I dont want to listen to anything else. This album is starting to become his best album to me.

What is the point if any review ...aside from looking for validation of an opinion that you already have?

Just to see other opinions on an album, no different that what we are doing here

At least I can rationalize listening to the opinions of posters on a hiphop forum by saying that I know each of you niggas have some sort of participation with the culture just in the fact that you would sign up for a hiphop based board ...

Would you be interested in listening to Ryan Secrests analysis of Illmatic?

Yeah if ryan was a big listener of hip hop like fantano is, he reviews hip hop albums from mainstream to underground. Albums that barely gets mentioned on this forum. even put me on to underground artist. but we agree to disagree. back to this great album we got here

Not for me but what I usually do now is just start playing the album from any of the 4 seasons if I don't feel like listening to everything

I have listened to winter endlessly the past few days. Endlessly. As for the album as a whole, you can put it in the car and not even listen to the lyrics and the whole thing still got a good vibe. When you get under the headphones and get to puttin the puzzle together, it takes the it to new heights. I don't call out that classic name unless it is so i'll wait on that, but I will say he put his foot in this shit right here. Mural is the track of the year, who the fuck can spit for almost 9 minutes and not waste any words? Everything he said in Mural held weight, that's incredible.

spoke to someone yesterday about this album and he complained that some of the songs are too long but yet they still like those songs? How does that even matter really if you enjoy it. like mural, thats like 9 mins with no filler lines but if youre entertained the whole 9 how does someone find a way to complain about it? even tho the songs are long, looking at the song times but I dont notice. lupe made these long ass songs so dope that they dont drag out and goes faster than yo think. Like joeys 3 sides to a story thats 9 mins too I believe

Most people are affected by anything that isn't orthodox. Currently the average HipHop song is 3 - 5 minutes long ..

If these new niggas knew better they'd had known that songs were even recorded far longer than 9 mins 3 to 4 decades ago
