I like Lupe but i'm more of fan of his mixtapes than his albums. Dude has a little bit of Nas in him with the beat selection, great lyricist but can't pick peats. That's why he sounds so dope on mixtapes, he manage to rap on great beats.

His music isn't personable either, he is very narrative with his songs. He is pretty much a modern day GZA imo.

Lupe has the lyricism to be mentioned amongst the elite, and even surpass them in some circles.
