Lupe Fiasco Calls President Obama 'Biggest Terrorist'

One thing Lupe Fiasco always does is speak his mind. On a visit to CBS News’ “What’s Trending” series, the Chicago rapper likened President Obama to a terrorist.

The MC was spotlighted due to his status as an “influencer” and after discussing his many Twitter followers and fans petitioning for the release of his album Lasers, the topic turned to “politically charged” music. Fiasco cringed when the hostess, Shira Lazar said that his politically charge music, like Lasers single “Words I Never Said,” is an anomaly for a pop artist.

“In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama, in the United States of America,” said Fiasco. “For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root causes of the terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us because it’s really just some oil, which we can really get on our own.”

Fiasco was then asked who he would vote for in the 2012 Presidential race. “I don’t vote,” said Fiasco, shaking his head. “I don’t get involved in the political process ‘cause it’s meaningless, to be honest. First of all, I’m a real big believer if I’m gonna vouch for someone, then I’m gonna stand behind everything that they do. So that can be you, that can be the cameraman. If I’m going to say I stand behind this person, and write on a piece of paper that says, ‘Hey, I stand by this person,’ then I have to take responsibility for everything that he does. ‘Cause that’s just how I am as a human being. So politicians aren’t gonna do that because I don’t want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”

While Fiasco’s comments have already sparked varying reactions—from disdain to adamant support—they are not surprising if you have been paying attention to the outspoken rapper. In March, Fiasco said he was weary of the government in general, hence Barack Obama too.

In the same CBS News interview Fiasco talked about how important charity and “being socially responsible” is to him. He also mentioned starting an organization in Chicago with his sister called the Lupe Fiasco Foundation that is “based on literacy and promoting health and wellness and education and all that good stuff.” But that won’t be getting as much attention as putting the words “Barack Obama” and “terrorist” in the same sentence, unfortunately.

you should have been known this dude Fluke Fiasco is a clown, dude just loves to talk first his a twilight rocker then a consience rapper then back to a twilight vampire rocker. as long as he gets shine thats all he cares about, this is just promo.

sit down with him and ask him plans for USA relation improvement or community progress, and he'll just giggle like a little slut.

no one takes this dude serious.

Lupe would've been more accurate to say the position of US president is that of a terrorist... not Obama himself.

But considering Lasers is pandering to white people, I'm sure this stuff will boost his sales even higher.
