i can understand him feeling salty about the album not being what he wanted, but he acting like he isn't everywhere: magazines, commercials, radio, internet, so it's not like his label just said fuck him

As long as they have artists who are willing to make the music the label wants, Lupe is on the wrong label.
He should get that situation straightened out before he records anymore music and owes the label anymore money.

Here's the thing though... do you think the people that dislike the album would still dislike it if Lupe never said anything about it? Or would their taste in music magically change? People are going to have their feelings about the music regardless of what Lupe says. There are people that DO like Lasers so I don't see how him complaining about it would sway anyone's opinion.

If he doesn't promote and tour, his career will get shut down. I don't see a company like Atlantic 'forgiving and forgetting'. If he doesn't promote, what do you think will happen to his future albums? In a perfect world, Lasers would've been his last album under Atlantic's contract, but nah he's still in the hole.
My point in bringin up Em is that his fans didn't turn around and say "Aw on second thought, Encore and Relapse are trash" and get refunds.
