wish he would've touched on more current events. but any who the production was good and the lyrics were epic as usual.
read some of the posts and it saddens me that for hip hop fans today a song's production value/hook takes precedence over the actual lyrics or content the song... all you really need now to make a hit is a hot sample or whateva...fuck wha the lyrics are. smh. shit is backwards to me.... makes me wonder if nas's illmatic came out today would it still be touted as a classic because it wasn't "trunk music". lol
and don't get me wrong i get the importance of a dope beat rick ross would be a nobody if didn't have an good ear for beats... but damn yall act as if this beat in particular is just straight trash, which it's not, and than at the same time want to suck off kanye for his shitty effort on MBDTF because it was "different". i. just. don't. get. it. lol.
