Depends on what you've heard.

This is a very under rated piece of work from Blu, who did the production.

I don't think many people downloaded it (it's a mixtape), but I thought it showed a lot of premise.

Basically, Blu was blessed on BTH with one of the greatest producers of the minute in Exile. As soon as they both hook up again, people will start the whole 'I always knew Blu would be back like this' etc.

Many people enjoyed 'The Piece Talks', not to mention Blu was on one of the best underground tracks of last year in Samsonite Man with Fashawn.

It was pretty amazing work for a newcomer noone had heard of, let alone a West Coaster.

You can also find a verse of his on the newest album from The Roots "How I Got Over".

He is very good, but I haven't heard much from him since Below The Heavens.

Lupes got the best double entredres in the game, he can tell a great story, one of the best technical mcs in terms of multis rhymeschemes etc. He is the perfect lyricist, the only criticism i have of him he rarely shows personal emotions in his song, sometime he be like a robot but a damn skilled one.

lol I pretty much feel the same way, all the F 115 tapes and ROTN tapes were dope and F&L & the advance is classic, but The Cool and everything after is "ehh"

What you mean by he doesn't bring real knowledge tot he table?

The cool may not be as good as Food and Liquor but you can't negate the fact that its still an album that is technically sound from his storytelling to the double entredres the skill is still there. Tracks like 'Put You On The Game' are examples that when it comes to incorporating complexed metaphors in your rhymes, double entredres, Lupe is the best in the game. Lupe shits on 99% of rappers without fail. And maybe you don't understand what 'The Cool is about but theirs plenty of deep content on that album, it may not be as blatant as Chuck D screaming 'Fight the Power' but its still there just on a more subtle skilled level.

I beleive somebody else posted it but lupe is really over modest sometime, i feel he's one of the few that could get EM on a track and i mean few. He cant spit somewhat fast, his lyrics are on point, his methaphores are crazy, and his flow on the beats is nice. An Im not sayin EM would get murked but it would be close.

Cant wait for friend of the people.
