He's like JayZ when he tries to do gangsta shit, no one believes him, but it sounds good and it kills two birds with one stone. He appeals to the nerdy fans who are all about the multis and metaphor shit, and he appeals to the people who live the street life.
He should've kept that style IMO. He'd be a platinum rapper by now, kind of like how Wayne was when he first went solo.
P.S. Lasers was so wack, he has to release two good albums to overshadow that trash. Dudes been on a down slope since his mixtapes.

watering down gangsta lupe would been better than watering down kickpush/the cool lupe
but, in all honesty, we dont know what talks he had with the labels. if he or they were set on goin with gangsta lupe then deciding to switch it up.

4.5 Mics/5 IMO its one of those albums if people call it a classic i dont mind but its just not there for me

This was an album that took a lengthy time for it to grow on me, but I could appreciate it....the claims that F&L is up there with "Illmatic", "Ready to Die", and " Reasonable Doubt" is ridiculous,still the nerd dropped an impressive debut.
