I'm a have to agree with this. But it is becoming overdeveloped. I wouldn't mind buying some home property out there.

Frederick/Bethesda/Aberdeen are places for people who want to own a home (like me) and get away from all the BS of the city. It's good that no one talks about it because I want as much land as possible with a house that's as cheap as possible. This is also on the list of places I was thinking of when I buy my home.

It's the second largest city in maryland. it is an hour from DC and an hour and a half from Baltimore.

It is still mostly farm land, so developments are springing up all over the place.

Red line will be extended from Shady Grove to Fredneck by 2018.

Pretty much, cheap houses, many jobs as soon as the economy picks up(it's on I-270 which is known as the Tech Corridor) It is the home to Ft. Dietrich and countless tech companies. Pretty much, as soon as metro is extended that far, the prices of the homes will sky rocket b/c it basically opens up that many more jobs for you. I like Fredneck, it's real peaceful out there. Some of my best friends are from Walkersville and I love visiting them.

that's a dumb fucking idea...they're gonna have to continue to make the metro even more fucking expensive to support that shit and that's gonna be like a 2hr metro trip from Fred into DC w/ all the stops

How is that a dumb idea? it's either that or expand 270 which would be even more money. 270 during rush hour is worse than 495.

Also, it's not a 2hr trip anything. From one end of the orange line to the other end is 45 minutes, so how the hell would this be 2 hours?

Last, they're also adding a silver line from Reston to Dulles for the same reason. It's a part of metro's expansion to meet the needs of the region.

i know why they're doing it...i grew up here and they were takling about extending a Purple Line before they decided to call it the Silver line out to Dulles for years...2 it's more than 45 mins from one end of the orange line to the other ( i live off the orange line and take it to work), and comparing it to the red line isn't fair because it's alot longer...think about where the Red Line starts at and ends at already...GlenWood to Shady Grove, end you want to make that Glenwood to Frederick...that's a long ass trip...and yes it will cost more money they already had to up the cost of metro to cover losses and had to do it at 3 different times because it caused such a fuss over high the prices were already and then they made them even higher during rush hour...imagine how much that will cost to go from somewhere on the blue, orange, blue, or yellow line with it already costing upwards of $5 to get off at certain stops...

Why would anyone move to Maryland? I'm trying to LEAVE, dude.

The laws here are ridiculous. For everything. Shit is all fucked up and nothing makes any sense.

But I guess if you're a good upstanding whitey I'd understand.
