Family Guy's humour comes from its straight racism. As a writer, I'd never argue that they can't make whatever joke they want. Doesn't mean it's not extremely walk and very very weak. Cheap family it's fuckin' cheap.

South Park falls into this category sometimes, a lot in recent times, but at its best the humour came from social commentary that was based on race. The people from the future episode is a good example.
