Def jam do invest alot of money, which is why I wondering what would come of the deal if Banks did sign! Interscope jumping all over him again cause he builded buzz is funny to!

the deal is already in astronomical numbers & that's just for him meaning no g-unit attachment involved in the contract obligation's

Man this nigga gettin 1.5 million for 2 albums.......he gettin all the promo he need..... but that 1 song aint enough for Def Jam to put more into Llyod Banks project

The album didnt release date yet........ so with those indications....... Banks has to turn in at least 2 more singles....... he did that already....Sha pulling strings

If the songs is right and every together.....i can see Banks move some units......Gold at the most......Def Jam is in talks to see if they will put the money together to push

for a platinum album...... or just test the waters with what Banks have....... it give Banks a 50/50 chance...... if the album go Gold..... he re-negoiate if the album flop...

he work on the next album and pay back what he owe..............Interscope matched the deal.....but Banks know.....if shit aint taking off.....Interscope will shelve that nigga......at least wit Def Jam....he will get the promo and he will get the project released.......this album at least....if he has no buzz.....Def Jam may shelve the next 1

better than being at interscope and never making an ablum. Even tho I never been a fan, I don't really see him moving units. Shit took him 8 years to drop a new CD. Homie please he is not that talented!

Def jam seems too think differently.. when a label buys you a million dollar car just to have a conversation with you, your doing something right, when every staff meeting is revolved around you, your doing something right, when you have release schedule's being catered to you your doing something right.. maybe you can call it talent or you can just say that numbers he just did indie off of a street single was a fluke.. i dunno man

i think it's a horrible move.. we as a people need to keep gunit indie

I havn't heard the details of the the deal! But the deal is just for banks right? G-unit could still do there own thing right?

deal is just for banks solo.. but gunit as a group should & needs to stay indie

I agree, g-unit needs to stay indie! I don't know if def jam is the best place, but its good to see Banks making moves on his own.

Ever since they gave sean carter the president position the label has been on the decline, granted he's not there anymore & they have had enough time to restructure the brand & put dollars behind a strong artist or brand they haven't & right now they are coming to terms with that reality & the roster is going to get shaken up which is why they invested in sha money knowing his association with gunit (50 the ceo)

I give Banks a few tips...............

1.Dont mention Wayne name.......

2. Leave G-Unit quicker then Chris Bosh leaving Toronto.....

3.Sign with Def Jam (SOLO).... he needs no ties to G-Unit what-so-ever

4.No Radio Singles..........No Radio-Friendly-Shit at all........ just a mixtape feel album I.E. (Milli, T.I.-Im Back, Ross-Mafia Music 2)..... this way he get the streets back

and he get a feel of the hardcore audience nation-wide......not just New York.....BBB made it Down South.....his last 25 mixtapes didnt....if he hit the airwaves with

that fire gitty gutter grimy hard-core shit........they will eat it up coming off BBB he have time to if he do its a nice set up....

5.Last option is Indie..... not with a BBB street single thats a heater.....

1. the man will never leave gunit

2. the marketing genius that were once at def jam in the days of dmx, jay & so forth are not there anymore

3. he has more power as an indie artist

He have a nice song with BBB.....on a indie we push that many records......now way in hell E-1 will print up 300,000 cd to put in stores..... first month...

on a Indie he lucky if he get 100,000 cds nationwide on the 1st week....... and wit BBB the majors are expected he push at least that 100,000....

a major will ship at least 200,000 for artist of Banks status.....shit Jay-Z aint even ship Gold....and he had bangers, im talking about 2-3 singles that charted and he had monster that charted.....if Jay went Indie....he probably wouldve broke even and he went plat-plus....... because the marketing dollars went into his project....

Hint: BBB aint even go plat on ringtones yet...........Label looking at this also.......he really hoping the "Remix" do what he need.....thats his leverage.....

and notice he got Def Jam artist.....(Dream and Jada).......he got Yo Gotti.......see the Big Names of the south supposed to be on the remix......that wouldve sealed it

that particular artist & brand doesn't concern themselves with ring tone

Dog.....the industry is gauged by ringtones and BDS......

How u think all these ringtone artist......get to release they albums...... they sold enough ringtones.....to convince someone to release a album

But u right a artist like Banks......they shouldnt gauge it at ringtones.....but if BBB wouldve went plat-plus on a ringtone.....they woulda found a way to put it on the shelf

50 wanted a solo deal with some crazy numbers.......Def Jam not willing to pay to 50..........50 wouldnt let Banks sign the solo deal........

They burned the bridges with Interscope........Now 50 jockeying for positions........so him and Sha tryna get the whole G-Unit on Def Jam......

So 50 can have a deal......but lets be real........Yayo is useless......Banks have a hit.......his 2nd and 3rd releases were ass......

50 just done with.........
