I never said he wasn't the main catalyst I just said you can't give him all the praise for them winning then when they lose then all of a sudden it's team effort and you bringin up bron and the 07 cavs does not help cp argument at all considering the clippers are far more talented than we were

Your choice of wording agrees with me.

Saying "main" catalyst instead of "the" catalyst means there's more than one reason for their improvement. Which is giving praise to more than just Paul.

And to be clear, I never said he was the ONLY reason they are winning. He is the MAIN reason they got BETTER.

His teammates obviously contributed... CP3 aint out there 1 on 5. It's a team effort either way. When they lose it's despite CP3 not because of him.

And the lebron comparison perfectly augments my point and argument. (CP3 is the best point guard). My argument was that just because you dont win doesnt mean you aren't the best player/position/coach/leader etc....

i can dig where you was comin from but with that lebron comparison i meant that compared to the talent we had he should have no problem making it to the finals if hes a superior player

There are a lot of superior players in the league. You say that like making the finals is easy.

It is not.

Even the Heat had like 3-4 game 7s in the past 2 years (2 this year) and they were considered HUGE favorites the entire season.

"If Melo is overrated Chris Paul is overrated."

I'd put that in the dumbest shit said in the CS thread if it weren't a pain to do so on mobile.

I didnt know CP3 had a ring fam. Or went to a conference finals. Or won anything of significance in his career. Tell me when winning comes into play. Different players getting the same results 9-10 years into their careers with little chance of getting a ring any time soon. Niggas act like going home early is more acceptable for some niggas cuz they're labeled winners but haven't won shit or gotten close.

Wtf does Melo being overrated have to do with CP3?

I forgot CP3 didn't just lead the Clippers to a 1st round exit and the best season in the franchise's history...that's a pretty good start with a new team.

@ Bold he just told you in his post

Pierce didn't have a choice and KG didn't want to be a part of a rebuilding process, you need to stop talking about the NBA because you look stupid in doing so

Rose and Westbrook dont have rings but they've also never lost to teams they should have/ could have beaten in the playoffs. Ill say it again, Mike fuckin Conley played him to a standstill and then Tony Parker went out and cooked Conley the next round. No excuses for that. Ive never said anyone here labeled him a winner but thats the label he's been given. He's never even made it to the conference finals. I doesn't matter if you dont think Rose is the best pg. The facts show Chris Paul is overrated. Of course they had a better year last year, they had a better team.

Nuggets wasnt a bad team when Melo was there and when he left they got a shitload of good players, when Cp3 was on the hornets they were avg @ best and got crap in the trade for clippers... Put it in perspective.. And yes I would take Melo in the playoffs>>>Cp3 in a heartbeat

If Rondo is a elite player him KG and PP with Green and Bradley emerging as real solid players, they could have challenged teams in the playoffs. Especially with their experience...

KG didn't have to wave his no trade clause, Doc didn't have to leave. PP he would have probably got cut or some shit though..

Plus Rondo was getting shopped all summer, Hell he was getting shopped around last season too.

If Rondo is your best player your team ain't making the playoffs..

Cp3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the field.

D. rose will have something to say in season but Cp3 is the flagholder, stop with the vendettas against Paul... Any1 who says he's overrated is just ridiculously reaching

So y'all are saying that if you are building a team and you can choose between CP3 and Melo you'd just flip a coin because they are basically the same to an organization and in what they offer to a squad?

Melo left the Nuggets and they became a great team.

CP3 left the Hornets and they became Pelicans.

Speaks or itself mane.

They gave Denver damn near the whole team for melo that's why they became a great team plus they gm was a beast it's more than jus melo leaving because if you want to be real about it melo took them to a conference final and I don't think the team they have now would make it there

U right its not easy but with all that talent on his team plus him being a superior talent he should at least make the conference finals I jus want to see what the clips do this year he got the coach he wanted and the contract is signed so now he gotta deliver

So niggas gon keep ignoring the fact that Mike Conley gave that nigga work. Parker beat them niggas off the pick and roll damn near by himself. Name another top pg that never been to the conference finals at least. D Will got there with the Jazz when the West was by far the strongest conference and last years Clippers>>>>The Jazz. I think he's a great player but the best pg he aint. Matter fact im revising my personal list.

Rose

Parker

Westbrook

Paul

Rondo
